6. What are the traits of your ideal whumpee?
I love Whumpees that have done absolutely nothing to deserve what happens to them. They’re good people, or at least decent! They don’t understand why these bad things are happening to them, and they at the least start out fighting against the whumper, but time and suffering wins out eventually.
(Also I’ve noticed the characters I whump seem to usually be males in their mid-20s, usually trying to resolve some external problem out of their control. Interesting thing I realized while I was wrapping this post up!)
9.Which archetype do you identify with the most: the whumpee, the whumper, or the caregiver?
Hmmmm, depends on how we’re defining identifying with, i guess? I love hurting characters, but as a person I much prefer to fill a caregiver role. Buuuut I would probably say I sure hurt my characters more than I comfort them.
(I do like playing the whumpee usually in RP and write from their perspective though, but I think that’s because i get a nice close view of their suffering, I guess?)
17. When was the last time you got the whumperflies?

Otherwise, uhhh, I was watching dirk gently’s holistic detective agency this week, and I had so many feelings about dirks like, perpetual breakdown during season 2. It’s so good!
