Hello helllloooo!!! Just dropping in with a quick question about something!!!. I’m doing a replay of Ds route right now, and am at the scene where Welat is trying to hound the crown into giving a statement about their rule. In every playthrough before, I’ve had D explicitly go ageinst in the ruling they give. This time though, they happened to abstain. I actually had no idea that could happen! it’s why I love replaying the game, I always manage to find something new. I was just curious as to what determines their response in that moment? Is it related to the crowns political choices, or more of a relationship thing??

It's a relationship thing! If you are on D's romance route and your relationship is steady, they will always abstain as to avoid drawing any attention towards your relationship. As their affection for the Crown increases they become more wary of a potential scandal or the Crown's reputation being harmed in any way by perceived attachment.

On an unsteady romance route or on another character's romance route this isn't a concern since the relationship is either not strong enough to form a risk or strictly platonic, so D isn't as worried that they will harm the Crown's reputation.

...what I'm reading (books): I've recently finished Project Hail Mary and For Whom the Belle Tolls, completely different books but I enjoyed both very very much. I haven't decided what we're starting next, but I'm itching to start something after artfight!

...what I'm reading (fic): oh man I haven't been reading anything consistently unfortunately. I think the last thing I read was the latest updated chapter of Imogene's story from @calcazars, which is fucking phenomenal and I will probably reread shortly. otherwise just kind of skimming some tags for some regular faves (leon kennedy, jason todd, viktor arcane...)

...what I'm listening to: I'm gaming a lot so it's been a LOT of my League of Legends playlist, so.. lots of KPOP, Arcane and LoL soundtrack/OST music, hyperpop that sort of deal. if friends get me to play Rivals, we're looking at early 2000s Fallout Boy, MCR, Panic! etc. outside of gaming, it's a lot of summer vibes like Chappell, Sabrina Carpenter, Kesha, Gaga.

...what I'm watching: partner and I are (re re re re re)watching Supernatural because my mental health is questionable at best. individually I've been watching Criminal Minds reruns. DropoutTV for giggles. my frens on twitch. LoL MSI 2026 (sorry to talk about esports on main). and OculusImperia on youtube to get my 40K lore fix.

...what I'm eating: so I currently am anti-food because it's so bloody hot outside so it's been tough BUT I've found that I fucking LOVE nongshim ramyun and kimchi, and that's been a recurring theme. also super basic pasta salad with olive oil, tomatoes, and mozzarella. and my life for mini oreos.

...what I'm working on: Hawke is about to lose her shit when Fenris goes down in battle, featuring brief Fenris/Isabela smut. I promise Heinriana are gonna have their masquerade ball; I've become fabulously unwell about him again in the past week so I'm expecting this next. Pasqal and Ell are gonna have a tryst. Brook and Raf might meet for real? I'm still debating whether to post this - I lowkey kind of want to comic them but I do not have the artistic skill for this. speaking of artistic skill, I've got a couple more artfight attacks planned to get through; I've been having a ton of fun with these. and artworkout has been a delight so I'm continuing to work on that.

after the long haul that was my Pacififc Rim AU I am finally working on my promised “Nicky plays the violin” fic with some wonderful Italian composer/Stridivari string-maker madness. 

enjoy my 7 sentences!:

Some would think Nicolo supernatural, with the frequency at which he improves, but Yusuf knows he is simply that good. He was born with the tune of songbirds in his ears, guiding his every footstep, every press of his fingertips on the board of the fiddle. 

Through the connections of some noblewoman Andromache knows, Nicky is brought to the attention of the concertmaster for the operas at the teatro, who is understandably besotted when Nicolo plays for him, all soaring melodies and soft accompaniments.

It is the duty of the concertmaster’s standing as a musician to let such a talented violinist into his pit only off of one audition. 

Nicolo’s pretty face works wonders too, is what Andromache says about it all.

Nicolo rolls his eyes, but hands over the tickets to the next show into her outstretched hands. 

Still, Yusuf thinks, she is not entirely wrong.

When

There are two kinds of when:

1) when all of this will finish and he will be free?

2) when all this bs will finish and because he is still playing the game?

Now i’m the first when but I have to be honest, more or less in 2015 the second when was my when. I was frustrated, i saw everything like a lack of efforts by him. I started to worry a lot that year… i didn’t like it what i saw and i resented him and his wonderful S.O. because they were not pushing in the toilet all the shit: what is money when well being is involved?

Then 2016 arrived and in my opinion it was the worst year but at the same time, even if only few noticed that, the one in which i saw the best efforts from both of them to give us messages… trying to preserve a part of the fandom that is basic to obtain a good conclusion of this mess. It still pains me to think about it and i swear it’s the reason why i decided to be hardcore with my opinion here. 2016 was the year that erased from my mind the thought “They are compromising for money”. 

2017… well, most of you are tired of the charade, a bunch of you are terrible with your reactions people and this is so wrong on so many level and first of all for your health because i think that you are stressing yourselves without reasons…but it’s your life so… whatever. 

What i like of 2017 is that i’m seeing him alive again. Tired (too much), too thin ( i feel like a grandma who wanna make him eat) and sometimes so fed up of this mess that i can’t help but be worried. But it’s better than 2016.

Keeping my eyes open and understanding some things here and there, i honestly think that we could be near the end. And i won’t for anything in the world let the pr shit and the beard shit ruin all of this here. Will I seem crazy? Whatever… i was even blocked by a couple of people of my fandom (the cc one, let’s underline that) because i don’t hate D and i think that he’s obliged to do specific things and he’s not an accomplice . Let’s say it: it’s so absurd that it’s funny af. 

But you know, when i will drink to D’s health the joy and the happiness will be unbridled.

I lost my virginity in a threesome at age 18. Dunno why this was the first thing I thought up but hey that’s how this works. 2. I spend at least an hour a day marveling about life on Earth. It’s so cool you guys now pardon me while I read wikipedia for fun I’m a giant fucking nerd.

3. I’m super picky about fandoms. I’ve only read fanfics from five fandoms - Dragon Age, Star Ocean 3, Kingdom Hearts, Yuri on Ice, and Free!. When I read a fanfic from a thing, that’s how I know I’m really super into it. It’s kind of a special thing. I’m a voracious reader, though, so once I dive in....I will read fucking novels of fanfic.

4. Winter is my favorite season and I love the cold and snow. I often ache for frozen air, skies on my feet, and thigh-deep snow to play on. I have dreams about it even.

5. I don’t really have nightmares. I do have dreams with uncomfortable moments, however - a reoccurring one I particularly hate is when my teeth fall out and I keep having to hold all my loose teeth in my mouth so I don’t lose them. My jaw feels all out of whack and everything. Bleh.

6. I consider myself really confident and brave, willing to do all sorts of stuff and walk into whatever situations. There is one area I have intense anxiety, though - I am emetophobic. I’ve suffered panic attacks from someone vomiting in my vicinity before. Due to this, I tend to avoid situations where I know there will be people drinking a lot. I get anxious about them getting sick and it becomes not fun fast.

7. I feel I’m better at reading an animal’s body language than reading people’s. My falconry trainer told me last week that “I’m a natural” because “I just read them” and that gave me loads of warm fuzzies. I certainly feel completely at ease with them. I love ‘talking’ to my cats and reading my snakes and playing with my fish.

8. Oddly enough, though, I’m kind of bad at dogs. I grew up with one who I adored and enjoyed training, but when someone else’s dog runs up and jumps on me, I’m at a loss. I wish people were better at keeping their dogs calm cause it makes me nervous (which I know the dogs then pick up on and then get more excited ugh). It’s not as if I’m here to train someone’s dog for them either.

9. I want to draw a webcomic someday. I’m frustrated at my people-drawing skills right now, but I know I’ll break through eventually with enough practice. Just gotta practice, practice, practice. Like I have been my entire life.

10. I’ve started writing. Mostly incredibly self-indulgent short stories and some pornographic shit but gods, wow, I love doing it. I blame RP for getting me into it, but it’s only a good thing. I have a gajillion stories in my head, and I gotta write that webcomic too! I know like with drawing, writing will come with practice.

11. I’m a sucker for top ten lists. I will watch the shit out of them. Which also explains me closely following the statistics of how much people like various anime each season. Mmmmm, delicious statistics.

So I've been trying to date this girl. She's nice, cute when she gets shy, and extremely protective. She also likes to wear gold which I respect, a girl needs her drip. But she keeps pushing me away, probably something about our power dynamic. Any thoughts?

Hmm, have you tried communicating your feelings to her and discussing what about the power dynamic concerns her?

Like say, if a potential relationship might be politically devastating to your reputation and she happened to have trauma regarding a disgraced family member... sounds like she could be getting into her own head about it because of external pressure despite being genuinely attracted to you 🤔
