after watching the show, I am now reading the All Souls trilogy for the first time, and here are all the details I love that weren’t in the show.

• apparently Matthew built Sept-Tours

• the incident where Diana almost flooded Sept-Tours

• the incident where Matthew DID flood Sept-Tours

• Phillipe is Greek?

• TABITHA. why does she worship Matthew so much, it’s hilarious

• a fascinatingly in-depth exploration of crests and seals

• Jack wasn’t the only child Matthew and Diana adopted in the past, there was also a teenage witch called Annie

• the two kids also had a very shaggy dog they called Mop

• Phillipe’s clock that he invariably exploded every year during the holiday season trying to “improve,” and spent the rest of the year fixing

• Matthew and Diana putting on a play for Emporer Rudolf, which included Matthew snoring obnoxiously and Diana glowing and floating

• Queen Elizabeth the first throwing a tantrum and launching miscellaneous objects like shoes and inkwells at Matthew

• Ysabaue stabbing Phillipe, reasons unknown

and most shockingly…

• BALDWIN KILLED DRACULA????!!!!!???
