Update on Duke...
He is at home. He had what the vet called 'a raging UTI' so he is on antibotics for 10 days and a pain reliever for a couple. But the vet also found that he is dehydrated, which happens with cats that have kidney disease, so she suggested fluids, and a vet tech showed me how to do it at home, so I don't have to bring him back to the vet every 3 to 4 days.
It was not as scary as I thought, or maybe that's because growing up I was use to seeing bags of fluid and things because my aunt had kidney disease and used to do dialysis at home. The vet tech was like "you did good. No, shaky hands" which I took as a compliment.
I am just trying to keep my boy with me and as comfortable as possible. So, I am willing to try giving him fluids at home and see how it goes.
Thank you everyone for sharing the gofundme and for donating, if you did. It means the world to me.
