Okay, so, in my original Haven's Haven, Haven Parker was an addict and that played a big part of the story. In Haven's Haven rewrite, I got rid of that part because I was concerned I wasn't doing it justice.

I haven't worked on Haven's Haven Rewrite for a long time and haven't outlined further because it feels like something is missing and I think it's because I made that big change in Haven's character.

Should I add Haven's addiction back in?

Okay, I'm doing a rewrite of the rewrite for Haven's Haven because I had an idea. I don't want Haven to be immune to the Troubles, but I can't come up with a reason as to why that would make sense.

The ideas I randomly came up with are:

- The first Haven was originally immune, but after seeing what Mara was doing was affecting the people, she gave up her immunity to Trouble herself so she could take away the Troubles - Unforeseen side effects.

- Haven isn't blood related to Mara. Haven is kinda like a Doppelganger of Mara's sister, they happen to look almost identical so Mara becomes obsessed and possessive of her and maybe has a Trouble used on Haven to manipulate her into thinking they are sisters.

- Haven was killed by a bear or something, so Mara used aether to bring her back - side effect making her troubled and no longer immune.

I wish I could remember what my original plan was so that'd at least give me a starting point.
