important headcanon:  faye drowned at the age of six in the lake behind her grandfather’s house. she died. her grandfather brought her back to life through using the crystal and performing a spell that is only known from the chamberlain book of magic { witnessed when faye’s mom saved sarah with that same spell after faye accidentally killed her }. ever since faye came into her powers she has been able to find dead people through feelings, hallucinations, etc. her instincts led her to find a boyfriend’s body. hallucinations of her younger six year old self brought her to her grandfather’s body. and she chose to search the carnival and found all the dead bodies of witch hunters. only time will tell how strong this power will become and how she will be able to deal with it once she finds her book of magic.

i’m like thinking about it nonstop but the contrast between faye and anya is really interesting to me.

on one hand you have faye, who comes off as someone who’s very put together and mature. she knows what she wants and how to get it. she knows how to take care of herself and her family. there are a lot of things she’s good at. in reality it’s almost like she’s...crumbling apart sort of? she constantly feels so fragmented emotionally. she’s incredibly hard on herself and she knows that but she always sees it as justified! she carries so much weight on her shoulders all the time that it’s like she’s constantly on the verge of falling apart. she hates being perceived as weak and fragile, but a lot of the time that’s exactly how she feels and she hates it. especially now at such a difficult point in her life! almost all of her support system has been stripped away from her and she’s really suffering for it. everybody believes in faye so much more than she believes in herself.

and then on the other hand you have anya! someone who really doesn’t have a whole lot of life experience. she’s very naive and innocent. she doesn’t know exactly what she wants to do with her life and she’s having a hard time figuring it out on her own. a lot of people have a tendency to baby anya when the reality is i think she’s quite a bit more capable than people seem to think! she’s definitely not perfect and she’s still learning, but she knows she can handle herself and it makes her upset when people don’t believe in her the same way she believes in herself and others. she wants to prove everybody wrong and show them that she’s an asset and not a hindrance. but at the same time it makes her self conscious because she doesn’t want to constantly feel like she’s getting in everybody’s way! and knowing that people feel as though she’s somebody who needs to be shielded and protected makes her upset, especially coming from people like carter or olli when she assumed they believed in her abilities the same way she believes in them herself. it makes her sad!

The middle child of fourteen children, Faye Sinclair never knew what it was like to not have to fight to be heard. She’d always been one of the louder of her siblings, and her parents didn’t like that. They were incredibly religious and tried to use that as an excuse to push her into some little box that they wanted.

It was clear that they weren’t expecting to have so many daughters (Faye being the fifth in a row) and her parents didn’t know how to handle it. Instead she was always taught how to be good and one day be a good wife.

Thankfully Faye was smart and independent (most of the girls were– they had to be) and she got a scholarship to study business. It wasn’t where her passions were but it was at least something that would help her. Instead her passions were in fashion.

She ended up studying it alongside her business classes and by the time she graduated she was ready to start running her own small business. Now she works on that, making clothes and selling them online.

The thing is though: as much as people see Faye as a hard worker, if she didn’t have to work another day in her life she would be happy with that. Maybe it’s wrong of her to just want a rich husband and be able to enjoy her days but– well that’s her dream.

Superhero verse

Most of Faye's superhero verse matches the above however she is one of only two children, with Indie being 2 years younger than her.

Both of her parents had powers, her mother being telekinetic and telepathic and her father's powers change with verse. Faye did not inherit powers from her parents, rather she can control and create plants.

When Faye was fourteen she went away to a school for superhumans and when she was sixteen Indie's powers manifested and the unfortunate result of that included the death of the girls' mother.

A couple of months after that happened after a fight with her father Indie ran away and ended up at the same school as Faye and Faye has taken care of her sister since. Faye still has a close relationship with her dad.

Faye is only interested in muses aged 30 and older.
