L’autore Alberto Bortoluzzi, fotografo sui generis laureatisi in Geologia, ha dato inizio a questo progetto fotografando i fiori, non unicamente dal punto di vista botanico o per la loro bellezza, ma soprattutto per le loro caratteristiche di surreale assonanza con le pulsioni e i sentimenti di uomini e donne della nostra società. I personaggi fotografati hanno come elemento comune il far parte di un mondo che si svolge ai margini della vita di tutti i giorni, un mondo parallelo sconosciuto alla gente comune.

Nelle fotografie la loro relazione con il fiore è a volte diretta altre volte più discreta e misteriosa. Ne risulta un messaggio talvolta provocatorio in cui vengono posti in luce alcuni aspetti negativi del nostro vivere da esseri umani e di rapportarci con gli altri.
