58. When it comes to hope do they view it as: impractical or necessary and why is that
hmm this is a very broad question so i'll come at it from a few angles. felix, and thus fritz, gave up hope that the world would change for the better a long, long time ago, such that they've accepted this as fact and it's not even something they think abt anymore. i wouldn't call felix-fritz a pessimist necessarily, just... stagnant. but they still have dreams on a much smaller scale, and they hold out hope that those will come true. hopes and dreams are the only thing keeping them remotely tethered to life, ironically so bc the nature of what they want doesn't allow them to live with both feet in the present. fritz is more of a go-getter than felix had been before and thus less dependent on hoping things go his way, but you could also argue his belief that he will get what he wants as long as he works hard enough for it is its own sort of hope.
