Does your muse have any plants? If so, what kind?

Does your muse like to relax indoors or outdoors? (For whoever you feel like chatting about!)

Nat's the only one of the four who has any interest in plants! They're partial to succulents, and keep a few on their kitchen windowsill. They're all little trinkets they've picked up whole at the grocery store.

Rowan, Nat, and Sofi all prefer relaxing outdoors. Rowan likes fresh open air that promises opportunity; Nat loves the rushing wind and getting up into high places; and Sofi loves sunbathing.

Garrot's more of a relax indoors and lay in a blanket fort kinda guy.

Rowan's fave food is chicken wings, especially from Thai restaurants.

Garrot firmly believes the presence of a lava lamp and/or electricity ball increases the sensuality of any environment.

Headcanon A:  realistic

Currently, he shares a one bedroom apartment with Sofi and Rowan. There's only one bed, so he and Sofi typically cuddle at night, and sometimes Rowan joins them, though sometimes Rowan just sleeps on the couch. Garrot is a very big cuddler; it reassures him.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Did you know there are extra large crane games? Like EXTRA large? Yeah Garrot once spent the night in a Denny's because of one of those. He was a thin teenager, and thus able to climb up inside, except is was closing time and no one noticed, so he ended up locked in the Denny's. He just napped with the plushies until morning, after which he snuck out.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Garrot occasionally eats some really weird foods as comforts, like mayo-pickle sandwiches or ketchup-dipped dried pasta, as a carryover from when he was a young child and left home alone for long periods of time and had to scrounge for food.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

As a child, Garrot was a frequent visitor of the local church, though he never believed. He walked over there all by himself to attend potlucks and clothing drives. A few times he was asked about his parents, but he spoke so confidently of them coming home soon, it never got chased further, and then eventually he attended regularly with Sofi.

Send me Room and I will give you a detail about my muse's room. That detail can be a piece of furniture, a decorative element, their bed, the entire room's aesthetic, or anything else I can think of. (Yes it's been forever, yes I'm still taking, this is a fun one for me)

Xander: His apartment is ancient. It's a relic of the 70s, with a sunken living room and wood panel walls.

Jeremy: His apartment is much more modern, with big sunshiney windows and his desk up near them. He keeps his rats in his room.

Cyrus: Shares an apartment with Jeremy. His room is very neat and rather bare. He has a bookshelf with some of his favorites, and he keeps his bass in his room.

Iroksa: They have a massive, four-poster bed, with curtains, covered in wine-dark silken sheets. They don't sleep with a comforter.

Garrot: When he finally, finally gets a room, he makes sure to get a lava lamp and one of those electric energy balls. He considers this essential to ideal mood lighting.

What’s a hobby that they miss? — For Kuma, Garrot, and/or Cyrus?

Cyrus: Doesn't apply! Ever since leaving his abusive mother, he's gotten the chance to explore more of his hobbies and discover more interests.

Garrot: He likes doing facepainting. He got mistaken for a street fair facepainter once, and he pretty quickly got caught because he was terrible at it, but he found it to be way more fun than other forms of visual art. He can only indulge when other people are willing, and he pretty rarely asks.

Kuma: Honestly, it's just hanging out with friends. They still keep up with most of their hobbies--they draw, they play board games, they watch bad anime, they smoke, they care for their snake--but they just.. don't have friends anymore. Everyone moved away. And all the time with no one but the occasional ghost for company has atrophied their social skills. It's something of a vicious cycle, bc their awkwardness keeps people away.

How often do they show their genuine emotions vs. just the audience knowing? — For Garrot?

The answer to this REALLY depends on where Garrot's at in his life.

Pre-prison? It's pretty evenly split, I'd say? People can usually read that he's often anxious and a pushover, which is true, but Garrot's pretty aware of the sorts of assumptions people make about him and tends to use that to guard some of his deeper feelings. People often think very little of him, so they don't pay much attention, and he knows he can use that to get away with a lot. The depths of his sadness, panic, hurt, and occasional anger are often missed.

Post-prison? He's really bad at it. Really, really bad. He holes up in his apartment bc he can't handle the fact that he doesnt have the emotional stability/bandwidth to make even a passable public mask. It's super easy to read everything he's feeling, and that's maddening to him.

tea orange: what is something that your muse is fascinated with? (For whoever you feel like!)

Garrot really likes old toys and fashions from the 80s and 90s! It was before he was born, which is part of what makes it so easy for him to romanticize. Everything from that period was so bright and colorful and happy; it makes him feel like he could be a protagonist in some summer vacation teen blockbuster, where the worst problem in life is a strict teacher and everything's going to be okay.

It's also super eye-catching, and he loves the attention. Sometimes, people are cruel about it, but more often, it taps into nostalgia for a lot of people that makes them happy. If he pulls out a bop-it at a party, it typically generates so much excitement and joy as everyone takes a turn.

He also just generally likes the design more. Toys from that era were more solidly built and didn't rely on computers, and he thinks his butt looks fantastic in the itty bitty runner's shorts of the era.

👁 + Garrot, Cyrus

Cyrus has a soft, quiet speaking voice. He has a very even tone; he generally sounds tired and either thoughtful or annoyed as default. Overall, it doesn't carry a lot (some, but not a lot) of emotional inflection, even when he's trying hard to express it, unless he's already crossed the line into yelling.

Similarly, his mouth is usually set in a small frown no matter what, but where Cyrus's emotions really shine through are his eyes. He's got highly expressive eyes and eyebrows; they're a window straight to whatever it is he's actually thinking and feeling.

Cyrus is Always Tense. Unless he's expressly somewhere he's comfortable with people he's comfortable with, his posture is typically defensive and protective, taking up as small a space as he can. Everything in his body language perpetually says Don't Talk To Me.

Garrot tends to move pretty slowly. He doesn't tend to rush for anything, unless he's particularly excited, in which case he'll bounce around.

He squints a lot and struggles when trying to read. The prescription for his glasses is out of date, and he hasn't gone back to an optometrist for a new one. He's just been guessing when he gets new glasses. (He keeps the text on his computer big to make it easier. He still gets strain headaches fairly frequently and often has to adjust it back down when sites break.)

He typically keeps his hands in front of him. In his front belt loops, in his lap, folded by his chest, just playing with each other or fussing with his own jewelry.
