pumpkin— how do you feel about horror movies? do you like psychological thrillers more or jump-scare oriented movies?
Peri for Ingrid
OOC: Ingrid just isn't into horror movies at all. She gets nightmares easily from watching them, especially if they're jump-scare oriented ones.
OOC: Headcanon that Ingrid can play a harp, because I can totally imagine her playing something like this.
She’s a bit out of practice currently but she’d like to get back into it.
Me: How tall are all my muses anyway? Does anyone have a canon height?
After searching a bit, I have found out:
Yuko: 4″9
Ingrid: 5″7 (i’m using her actress’ height as a reference)
Diaspro & Icy: 5″7-ish? (no canon height given but considering how long-limbed the winx girls are, I presume they’re all around this height lol)
Catarina: 5″something (canon height not given, but based on how tall the other charactrs in My Next Life As A Villainess are, Catarina is the tallest of the ladies? So I presume 5″7-ish maybe?)
Onyx: How do they handle hostility from others, whether verbally or physically? ( for ingrid! )
@cfmycwn
OOC: Oh man. This is a biggie because Ingrid does not do well with either verbal or physical hostility and we have some canon examples to draw on for this.
For instance, remember the time when the random dude tried to kidnap Ingrid's sisters when they were kids, only for Ingrid to try to stop the dude and he pushed her away? First thing she did was use her powers - total act of self-defense - and made a giant tree branch collapse on the dude. Which is pretty terrifying when you're just trying to defend yourself and your sisters and you're just kids at the time.
Flash forwards to when the Duke of Weselton tried assaulting her and the first thing Ingrid does is defend herself (and use her powers). He runs away, and Ingrid is so shocked about it that she can't get herself to leave the scene first thing. The moment someone tries something on her, she's gonna immediately switch to defending herself - but if she hurts someone in the process, it brings up a lot of guilt and icky feelings for her.
When you add in the fact that she got called a monster to her face at least a few times in addition to all the physical assault I mentioned, well...that doesn't bode well especially considering 1. Ingrid barely had a clue how to use her powers initially other than trying to hide them and 2. she basically had no support group in anyone trying to encourage her to embrace her powers at the time.
And when you add on the fact that you accidentally killed your sister (Helga) and the other sister (Gerda) immediately called you a monster despite you trying to explain that it was an accident, and then sealed you in an urn for years...that also doesn't help.
In the present default verse (Another Way), Ingrid tries not to immediately lash out verbally/physically in self-defense because that's never ended well for her but at the same time she's forced to do so because, well, self-preservation instincts take over and so on. But she won't be in a good mood afterward - at least not for a little while.
TLDR; Ingrid's past experiences with hostility towards her result in a knee-jerk reaction of self-defense and the fact that she literally killed someone while doing so (albeit by accident) only reminds her that her attempts to save herself usually resulted in harming someone else - something she hopes to not repeat.
OOC: I watched the first two episodes of the anime “Komi Can’t Communicate,” and honestly? Ingrid (rather, my interpretation of her) could relate to Komi so hard. Wanting to talk to people but scared of what others might say or think about her.
Of course, there are differences - Ingrid hugely hid from others b/c she was scared of hurting them with her ice powers in the beginning, and Ingrid isn’t anxious to the point of being unable to speak in front of people. But the avoiding people bit? Trying to talk to strangers/people she barely knows? Yeah, she can relate.
OOC: Is it weird that I only realized NOW that both Icy and Ingrid have Ice Magic?
And meanwhile, Catarina barely has any at all, which is hilarious. XD
