Hmm, honestly hard to think about. I know folks think of like, various AU's and possibilities with characters and all, but with some it's hard to conceptualize them being a 'yandere' or something. I'll try though.
The difficulty with LT is that... it's hard to really classify "yandere" behavior to someone that isn't human, doesn't have a human morality or anything of the like.
He TRIES for Gabby's sake, because she's human, and he understands a number of things (that 'murder is bad' or 'you shouldn't take what doesn't belong to you' etc). Various human concepts.
But how is protecting someone you care about 'evil'? Or "yan" behavior? If someone is a danger, threatens that loved one's being, physically or otherwise, how is it wrong to defend?
This is LT's thinking.
It's not "evil" to whisk these people away.
It's not evil to... meld their form, melt it down, transform them into something new.
To chase them down through upside down tree with screaming heads for fruit.
To listen to their gasps of breath as they run through the brush in vain, the thundering of hooves, the baying of alien hounds, nipping at the heels of their new form.
Is it evil...
To watch one who has made your loved one's life misery, their flesh torn apart, the blood watering the earth as it feeds the forest?
Is it so terrible to love someone where you would shake the earth, move the stars, bring the moon down for them?
sorry my last ask wasn’t specific, does LT like cake frosting because one of the things you offer fae is cakes? Please ignore the ask from before i didn’t think that much during it.
Nooooo you're fine.
There's no particular lore reason, or his being fae on why he likes sweets.
Him liking cake frosting is mainly cause I thought it'd be funny if he liked something super cursed liked that, something that makes most other people's teeth hurt just thinking about it.
Cause the frosting he likes isn't the good kind.
It's that abominable, chemically, just spiteful stuff that is on cheap, average grocery store cakes.
THAT'S what he eats by the spoonful by itself.
(this is actually more so apparent for his counterpart, Letty, but I thought it'd be funny if they both liked it)
I’m assuming Krow doesn’t know about the dual natures… so what makes him scared of LT? Is it just vibes, body language, a creeping feeling? Instinct?
He doesn’t know what he is so can’t know the truth about LT
Krow has no idea about LT's deal. HE doesn't know what his own is, so there's no way he'd truly know anything more about LT than he's a REALLY weird guy.
It's just this... instinctual, primal fear he feels that he can't explain or articulate. This sense wrongness of LT that encases all of Krow's being when he just LOOKS at the guy.
I would imagine it's a similar feeling you get, where even if you haven't seen, say, a tiger before in your life, you just KNOW it is dangerous, and WILL kill you if you give it any opportunity to do so (I'm not saying that LT is just some beast but it's the best analogy I can think of.)
So, Gabby could be saying that she thinks Krow is dangerous, he could turn it around and ask her the same of her boyfriend.
Did Gabby almost get taken by supernatural creatures, or someone, hence now she's super cautious of her safety?
Krow is giving similar vibes so she hates him and may correctly suspect questionable intentions with Dove. (Or does she dabble in divination and is only right some of the time? Is she more aware of danger due to cultural reasons?) She absolutely knows on a gut level that there's something off about Krow.
LT totally knows what's up and how to deal with Krow, having dealt with similar before, hence why Krow is so uncharacteristically nervous of LT. I think they both know what Krow is now. Maybe that's how he even finds out. They maybe tell him either accidentally or to make him leave Dove alone.
Or maybe LT is like Tam Lin in that Gabby rescued him. Or he chose to leave to be with her.
The reason I asked about LT's physical characteristics being a clue is that I thought they hinted at him previously being aquatic.
But LT's aesthetic really says fae, elf or nymph to me.
His winged boots though look like those of Mercury the messenger. Is he mediating between the mortal world and the gods??
Also you said that Gabby may take Dove to her family or to LT's parent, and that Krow would try to follow... obviously that implies that LT would stop Krow himself, but also perhaps where Dove goes is somewhere Krow can't follow. Perhaps it's a special place.
Is it Under The Hills to the fae court? A remote place in the woods?
Or the underworld?
I'm also wondering if LT is something entirely different that's the natural enemy of Krow's people. Or - in a very specific case - is so similar to/familiar with certain stuff that he can recognise another one.
I'm wondering if LT is a type of bird known to attack [Krow's kind] and win.
LT is also giving some Persephone aesthetics so I'm wondering if he's similar to Zagreus. Who was reborn as Dionysus, associated with Pan and Gaia... and fauns/satyr who are known to abduct women.
I'm also thinking on the folklore of the hulda.
Man fucking nothing beats waking up and seeing a Krowspiracy novel ask in my ask box. Bless. Fucking bless. Thank you for the food.
*cracks knuckles* I'll put under a read more cause this will get long.
You more or less nailed it, so I'll go ahead and clarify a couple things. Starting with Gabby.
I forgot if I mentioned it or not, but Gabby is terrified of ghosts and monsters. She does a much better job at keeping her shit together than her Gabe counterpart though. This in part due to an experience in her childhood. She had witnessed... something, as a small child. Even she is not entirely familiar with what it was, but she was put in actual danger due to it. What had saved her was her guardian.
Gabby is a part of the Quileute tribe. Part of their beliefs is that each person has their own guardian that they look to and pray to for guidance, protection, that sort of thing. This guardian had protected Gabby that fateful day. But on the flip side, she's become... much more aware of things, mostly at a subconscious level, than the typical person. Even so, she just knows things that she cannot wholly explain as to why.
LT totally knew on sight something WAS UP with Krow, but he may not have known immediately what that deal was. A bit of research, a little digging and LT would figure it out. And even if he can't, he... has sources of which he can go to to get hints.
And you got it. LT is... something fae. But in a twist of things (mainly my own spin) he's not... what most may consider "fae". He's not fae like the Victorian's thinking of cute, whimsical creatures. He's a bit closer to being like the old stories of the Fair Folk; other worldly beings that live lives so differently than mortals.
No LT is more... fae as in... an eldritch abomination. Fae as in no mere mortal can possibly comprehend the true grasp of what LT's deal really is. Fae in that there are just some things about the universe humankind can't and won't ever know and understand.
If there were a hierarchy mmm... LT would be on the "prince" level.
If Krow had more access to his... uhh, dealings, then things could get REAL interesting between him and LT
But yeah. LT is actually a fae flavored horror cosplaying as human. He doesn't have malicious intentions with Earth or anything. It's general, genuine, honest... curiosity. And of course meeting and loving Gabby gives him reason to stick around.
LT has explained this more or less to Gabby. She wasn't really. Shocked. Probably said something like "No shit. No human being has your fashion sense." but on a more serious matter, she was given time to process this and LT let her come to a decision to continue being with him or not. Obviously she chose to stay with him. He would earnestly respect her decision regardless.
But the other theories you mentioned are super cool too. I always love getting your asks cause you make me think and have to rub my two lone brain cells together fjddk;fvgb
This is gonna be a boring, typical answer but I'll try to answer it in a way that makes it less boring dsbczkd
But obviously, it's Gabby being hurt, or something awful happening to her.
LT... he's someone where it's not hard to... get along with people, talk to others. LT is pretty empathetic and can connect with others. But being seen by others, truly? Unconditionally? Feeling like he has that same kind of connection from them?
It doesn't happen. It HADN'T happened.
Until Gabby.
It's hard to explain, but they clicked. Both of them felt like they were truly being seen, experienced, by the other.
LT loves Gabby whole heartedly. He sincerely wants nothing but the best for her. He loves seeing her thrive, having a life she enjoys, having friends, family. He will do all he can to maintain that for her.
LT isn't a yandere.
But he WILL make one rue the day that tries to ruin Gabby's life. Be careful, little bird~
Fun fact, LT's gender flip, Letty, is imo, far scarier than he is. (:
I'm not sure if this had been asked before, but I still want to ask because I've been curious about your OCs for a while now. Could you please tell me what type of sports do your OCs excel at? Do they genuinely enjoy these sports, or will they only do it out of obligation because they're just somehow good at it?
This actually hasn't been asked before!
You'll have to forgive me, since I, Winndy, am not really familiar with sports. I'll kind of combine it into other physical activities to help somewhat.
Krow is, of course, much more of an artist. That's where his passion, drive and skill lies. But, he has also always been fairly strong, and due to the nature of his job, has gotten to be quite strong. He could probably flex his stuff at the gym if you wanted him to do so.
Gabby really isn't much of an athlete, but she is really good at dancing. She has a natural poise, grace and rhythm that others wished they had. She's a bit self conscious about it though, so she really doesn't dance in front of others much.
Eliyah is a bitch that really doesn't do any sports. /silly
The most Eli probably does is go for a morning jog. But he's really not the physical activity type.
Luke would have played a few sports when he was younger, most notably football. He preferred playing for the fun of it instead of taking it seriously and professionally.
Jazzy's interests switch and change, as happens with many young kids. She's done dance, gymnastics, swimming, baseball, but nothing has really stuck. Luke doesn't mind though, she's just trying out new things and if there is something she really likes and sticks with, great, but if not, that's cool too.
Mary really wasn't... encouraged to pursue anything too physically strenuous. It's not "lady-like" to do so. Since her moving out to be with her girlfriend though, she's taking a liking to tennis matches with her for funsies.
Naila has always enjoyed the water, so loves swimming. Could have gone competitive but did not for their own reasons.
LT I think would enjoy fencing a lot, and do well at it. So yes he would very much know how to cut a bitch.
Question does LT have leucism? Its similar to albinism, but a bit different since it has some pigmentation in it
I had to look this up, and from doing some reading, yeah, this probably describes more what LT has than true albinism, since he doesn't have the pink eyes and still has some pigment (albeit it's very very faint still.)
