Something I just figured out.
Medkit, has a second source of her nature. Molly Weasly. Mrs Weasly as she is called most often, has been my most favourite Harry Potter character. She's arguably one of the most kind and generous people you could meet, aside with Hagrid. When she learned of Harry and his predicament with the Dursleys, she showered him with the love she could feel he had been neglected for so long. Well I'm not going to go further than that on my rambling. My point is, a part of her kind, yet fierce and protective nature was inspired into Medkit. It's their cores, as mothers, that are so the same.
