Okay so 11 things about me
1. I will literally get lost in my own headspace anywhere, at any time. In a group of people? Check. Middle of class? Of course. Walking through campus? Yep. I tend to go on autopilot when spacing out so I won’t usually notice if I’m walking by someone I recognize. Where I’m going mentally is basically just a series of elaborite daydreams/world.
2. I own a total of one casual dress, which I’ll wear like twice a year, but only under very specific circumstances. The other day my roomies had a photoshoot in which they went to the forest and wore pretty dresses and looked like fairies and I fell so in love with the aesthetic of it all that I muttered something about maaaybe wanting to buy one other casual dress. The shock of it was enough to make both roomies scream and one express downright disbelief I’d go through with it. I probably won’t, but it was a /thought/.
3. I try to make a point of being pretty open - if you’re like, at least a level 2 friend and take the time to ask me a question about myself, I will answer it to the best of my ability. I have no secrets and I’m comfortable discussing like anything about me. Which, I’m sure this has yet to be proven wrong but I’m sure one day it will. That day is not today.
4. My eyes are...blue? But I have no idea what the shade is. No one can agree if they’re blue grey, blue green, or blue-whatever else. I can’t tell myself. I just say blue, but fun fact, there’s a tiny brown fleck in my left eye.
5. While I am possibly the most physically awkward human being to walk this earth, I love physical affection - hugs/cuddling/whatever. The problem? I hate initiating affection. Or have anxiety about it, or whatever. Long story short, I won’t hug you, but if you hug me I’ll be happy as a clam hugging back.
6. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to one day open a pet sim site. Think like Flightrising or something. My sketchbooks have literally all manners of potential game ideas and concepts. Unfortunately I only seem to get busier as time goes by and have no patience for teaching myself coding - yes, I know what codeacademy is, no it doesn’t help.
7. Sometimes I feel mentally younger than I am physically. I admittedly still like some children’s shows/movies. I kind of love Miraculous Ladybug.
8. So over a year ago now during my 20th birthday, my parents sat me down for a Family Talk. They told me now that I was a proper adult it was time I find a nice jewish husband. While I was gaping at them my mom went on to give the specifics - he had to be a computer science major, among other things. I actually hve a few friends who meet those requirements and while I have 0 romantic interest in them, I haven’t been quite able to look them in the eye ever since.
9. I will prioritize my own sleep above anything else. Like, you know that graphic of college where it’s a triangle of sleep social life and school and you can only pick 2? Sleep is always on there for me. Like hell will I miss out on sleep.
10. You know how everyone has the childhood toy? Mine was a stuffed beagle named Milk Chocolate. I still have him, actually. When I was first packing for college like three years ago I actually almost left him at home. I had finished packing and was about to drive down to school, but was doing one final sweep of my old room. He was sitting on my bed and after a moment of hesitation, I brought him along. I haven’t ever even considered leaving him behind ever since.
11. I am an actual cerified bona fide adult and there is Nestle Toll House cookie dough in the fridge and I very much want to bake cookies now.
