The oldest of the Boyle siblings, Nathaniel always knew what it meant to be the next in line to the Scottish throne. He was the apple of his mother’s eye growing up, even if he spent the majority of his time with a nanny. He has two younger brothers and one younger sister and he adores all three of them. Well– most of the time.
He was five years old when Patrick was born and the two brothers were at each other’s throats pretty much straight away. When Davina was born, he loved having a younger sister, even if she gravitated towards Patrick. His favourite though? Ten years his junior, Archie is one of his favourite people in the world.
He was schooled by tutors and made very clear to him that he represented the family and always would so Nathaniel has always had a proper air about him. He knows how to answer questions the best way to not show bias and he does everything he can to stay out of the media. His job will be to run the country one day.
The following is a part of Nathaniel’s canon and therefore all interactions with him happen beforehand. This event took place in 2011.
On his sister’s 21st birthday tragedy struck the family. An assassin sent in to kill the King, however no one could have planned that the oldest son would step in to save his father and sacrifice his own life in return. He died at age 29, much to the dismay of his family and his country. What no one knows is that his father was being pressured to abdicate in favour of Nathaniel, and thought this would be a better way to get rid of the problem. No one wanted Patrick on the throne.
