👀 - What could the muse see at a glance that would make them interested in another person?

It would have to be power, ruthlessness, or a size difference in either direction. Whimsy added to the power or ruthlessness is a huge bonus. If you're a highblood and can put up a fight against him, are bigger or smaller than him, or are just really, really bloodthirsty like he is, that's bound to draw a bit of a line between the two that he can't ignore. I mean. He'd try, especially if this someone was a mutant or any caste below cerulean and maybe teal, but hemoloyalty can only go so far when you're right up his alley and trying to court him.

💼- First piece of baggage a partner is likely to encounter while dating them?

He is a fhUCKING bloodthirsty murderer. mans thinks death is a game and wants to be the winner. All his friends are either god-complex having wannabe "heroes" of their own story, complete with gaslighting, gatekeeping and girlbossing, or are just straight up abusive to those below them in the hierarchy. He's that one guy who sends gore pictures to his enemies to skeev them the fuck out. Unfortunately though, he is still VERY good to those he wants in his quadrants and would burn the universe down in an instant for them.

It depends on how much higher or lower on the hemospectrum the person courting them is. Mutants even moreso. The more beneath him he considers you to be, the more effort one would have to put in to consider you to even be viable in one of his quadrants. Displaying qualities he likes, turning them into games, giving him something "fun" to chew on... it would intrigue and excite him enough to eventually push him past his biases toward one quadrant or another.

It's instinct, but mostly in the sense of "he has no fucking clue what he is doing" in any sort of romantic scenario. He kinda just... lets things take their course, and is easily swept away into the moment, and left flustered and screeching afterward when he's alone and his head clears enough to actually process.

With someone less overt in their advances, he might find himself flirting and flattering without realizing it, and absolutely NOT processing that he's been flirting until the person he flirts with is flushed and stammering.

🖤 - Does your muse have a hard time dealing with quadrant vacillation? What's their general opinion on it?

OHOHO yes he does have a tough time vacillating. Take his constantly fluctuating black crush on Lohkii. He is in blatant, CONSTANT denial, and the feelings constantly venture into and out of just pure platonic hate.

Legitimately, his own hemoloyalty and devotion to the church is the only thing keeping him from ever making an attempt on Lohkii's life, and the more time he's forced to spend with the heir, the more difficult NOT respecting them becomes.

It tears him the fuck up, and he vents these wrathful vacillations through wanton slaughter. Better to murder things than acknowledge the possibility that he might have a bit of a vaccilating crush on your boss...

👀 - What could the muse see at a glance that would make them interested in another person?

For Neroza, things that typically grab his attention tend to be a variety of things. We've covered his whole deal with trolls taller and shorter than himself, and we've covered the fact that he enjoys trolls as bloodthirsty or whimsical as himself. The higher on the hemospectrum, the better a shot you have with him.

He ALSO apparently seems to find devotion to the faith attractive, considering he finds a particular acolyte rather fetching, despite trying not to show it.

He's the world's most bloodthirsty disaster clown bisexual, and he is the last fucking person to ever admit it.

For Vesper, someone taller, more physically imposing, and with confidence or snark. She relishes the thought of bringing someone that by all stretches of the imagination, would appear stronger than her down below her.

Typically, the lower on the hemospectrum this person would be, the more attractive she might find them, but this also multiplies exponentially with trolls with psionics or magic. She HATES the very notion of this power, this equalizer innate to many lowblooded trolls, but she also finds the thought of bringing a powerful mage or psion to their knees to be extremely attractive.

Basically, she's a fucking chaser, and I hate her.

spinning neroza and vesper's dynamic in my head rn. neroza is fucking awful and gross. hemoloyalist and a eugenicist and bloodthirsty to the point of becoming a subjuggulator and yet, despite being so unapologetically awful, is put in charge of keeping a leash on someone who's somehow MORE volatile, selfish and entitled, with power and also the strength to ENFORCE that power.

rayvaa and ludwig like to refer to him as the seadwellers' dog, but vesper acts more like an animal than neroza ever does, purely acting on impulse whenever she can get away with it.
