I FINISHED THE HELLBEAST!

it's 35 pages long, filled with pretty fluorescent images of cells and i'm very proud of it, but HOLY SHIT am i exhausted.

best thing about birthdays is that you can do whatever the fuck you want. case in point: impulsively bought a cake on the way home, and will eat it all on my own! (parsed over a few days, ofc, but you get my point)

1. are you named after someone? nope

2. when was the last time you cried? read poetry to a song with a certain feel to it earlier this week, and just lost it.

3. do you like your handwriting? depends! i love my lecture notes; they’re really tiny, neat and pretty. but whenever i am supposed to write something coherent or a note to someone else, i despise it.

4. what is your favorite lunch meat? trying to eat less meat, but just sliced ham if i am to go with anything!

5. do you have kids? no, and never want them either.

6. if you were another person, would you be friends with you? nope. dear lord am i anxious, uptight and awkward. i love to be seen by and befriend charismatic, kind and extroverted people.

7. do you use sarcasm? always.

8. do you still have your tonsils? yes, i do!

9. would you bungee jump? as it involves my three biggest fears: being upside down, heights and falling, i’d get heart failure from stress and die the moment i’d stepped off the edge. so no.

10. what is your favorite kind of cereal? granola, or if we’re sticking to cereal cereal, bland kellogs with milk

11. do you untie your shoes when you take them off? boots or lowtop plimsoles? no. running shoes and converse hightops? always.

12. do you think you’re a strong person? depends. if by strong you mean flexible, willing to forgive, work with and on my problems to move on, god help me, no. if you mean stubborn and having an ability to suppress my emotions to keep on going like nothing’s happened in the face of trauma, then i’d say yes.

13. what is your favorite ice cream? mint chocolate chip, hands down.

14. what is the first thing you notice about people? if they’re facing me; eyes, tone of voice. if they’re facing away; shoulders, neck. i notice details on girls more than guys. 

15. what is the least favorite physical thing you like about yourself? my thick wrists and ankles. tied in with that, my literally thick skin. no matter how much weight i lose, i’ll never be delicate despite being petite.

i'm one month away from turning 25 and my body has decided that it is Falling Apart™.

pretty sure i've got shin splints, my knees and elbows make cracka-lacking noises 24/7, ankles sprain way too often, my feet are full of blisters (normal and blood) no matter the shoes i wear, i think i've got a crack in my hip-bone from falling straight onto some rock two months back, my eye-sight is turning worse/into glasses territory --

and now my shoulder hurts when i move it out-and-up. it's muscular, but not DOMS; it just started hurting like a motherfucker yesterday for no reason.

i know i'm getting old, and that i've been real hard on my body, but come on. not everything all at once, please?
