Today I went back to the gym, two months after it reopened. Between the heat wave and the weeks away and, let’s be real, some lack of motivation, I didn’t find the time sooner and almost skipped it today too. But I’m glad I didn’t, because it was a nice moment.
I didn’t do much in the afternoon until I suddenly got inspired by a music video to write some sad MCD from my Orpheus Buck project.
I don’t know if I’ll write more right away because this month I’m focusing on creating everyday for @augustwritingchallenge . I’m not posting because nothing is beta’d yet, though I’m wondering if I should/could post the drafts, because I really like sharing (on tumblr, just not on AO3).
Whatever I end up doing, I’m mostly happy that I’m writing again. I keep it short (under 500 words) and try not to have high expectations except creating some content, and it’s been nice so far.
Originally, Orpheus hails from switzerland, but he moved to Japan pretty early on!
Orpheus speaks french, german and japanese fluently! He’s also good in english as well, but not as fluent as in the other three languages!
His favorite animals are definitely cats! That’s why he also has two cats as pets, named Tenebrae and Luna!
When you’re a fan of his works, you’re gonna know that in each of his works, a four-leaf clover will appear in some way. It can be only a mere mention, a recurring theme, a drawing or even something important to a character/the plot. It’s unknown why it’s a thing, though.

Orpheus is actually a really good cook! He also enjoys preparing meals and trying out new dishes. The european cuisine is his favorite, thou.
He hates mutton. With a passion.
Although he doesn’t do it often, Orpheus likes to play chess!
When he re-adjusts his glasses, he usually uses his right middle finger to lift it up at the middle of the spectacle frame. Anime glasses boy coming ur way, son.

Orpheus is as blind as a mole. Seriously, take his glasses away and he's gonna stumble around disorientated, only seeing color splashes everywhere.
Maybe that's why his olfactory senses are better than average? Though he had always a rather sensitive nose.
Oh and he always carries one pair of spare glasses with him!

Orpheus can actually speak four languages! He's fluent in german, french and japanese - he's also not too bad at english, but it could be better. He's working to get better at it.
Most people would cry at Orpheus' hair, because it's so damn fluffy at touch. It looks messy, but it's really soft and healthy. He doesn't even invest that much time in his hair.

Even though he is a fantasy novelist, he likes to read every kind of genre. Heck, he'll even read bad books, though that only happens if said book is being popular all of the sudden and he wanted to get his own opinion for that.
There really aren't many books that Orpheus doesn't like, but the book series House of Nights, the Twilight Saga or Fifty Shades of Grey are making him cringe.
That nerd loves to cook and is really good at it, too! He likes to try different dishes out, though he prefers european cuisine.
He also likes to make housework! He likes it when it's neat and tidy, Orpheus feels more comfortable in a cleaned area than in a chaotic one. Seriously, he's actually SHSL House Daddy.
Orpheus keeps as much details about himself secret for a reason. So, like, if you try to force answers out of him, even if he blatantly states that he doesn't want to, you are not going to be someone he would like to talk to.
Hell, he's not even that talkative to begin with, so...
Orpheus is a pacifist - no violence allowed!

He's scared of heights. If you ever try to drag him to a high building, you can be 100% sure that he is going to stay faaaaar away from any edges and windows.
