He was a normal doll and was given a soul when the woman sewed some part of her ex's hair into him. I need to reread up on voodoo and the practice/religion around it, but yeah.
He wanted to make this woman happy, but she used him. Hurt him to hurt tbe man she based him on. He was so sad and Belial was like "whats this?"
And so they made him a deal. If he can win her love, They will make them human. But Ravi couldnt and ended up killing her so now the contract is voided and he is now stuck. He isnt alive nor is he dead. He has a small voodoo doll on him at all times. It houses his soul. If someone were to take that doll they could control him (as seen in the MV) but if he has the doll on him, it cancels out.
