Some more Caelum Headcanons

Also 'Lucian magic' is something most Lucians have in small amounts. The Crystal chose the Caelums because they have a strong gift for protection magics, and it wanted to be 'protected' from others who would use it's magic. Like those of Solheim destroying their own Crystal from overuse. (I don't remember where I heard that... it could be fanon, but I like it, so I go with it.) Anywho, it's why members of the Crownsguard can summon their weapons, it's simply a Lucian magic and members of the Crownsguard have to be able to do it in order to become a Crownsguard.
The Glaive have all that fancy stuff because Regis made a deal with the Crystal as they lost more and more of Lucis to Niflheim who wanted said Crystal, so that the Glaive could use the Crystal's magic as he did to protect it, as it wanted.
Prompto can use the weapon summoning magic because of his tie to Noctis. As he's not Lucian born (and as far as we know Verstael doesn't have any magic of his own), so Prompto is basically a Glaive for Noctis, except Noct didn't have the Crystal's powers yet, so it's legit just him sharing his own powers with Prompto.
This is also how Prompto didn't lose hope about Noct coming back, he'd lose his ability to draw his weapons if Noct died, so he knew he’d be back.
