informal: What's your OC's lazy-day look? How do they like to dress when they're winding down?

Revan's lazy day look is, in a word: simple. she prefers a loose tunic or blouse and loose but moveable pants, with minimal decoration but if Tari's around then there's bound to be at least a little bit of embroidery around the collar, wrist/shoulder and waist. nothing overly too much, but enough to notice. usually Revan will go barefoot because she dislikes wearing shoes when she feels safe, but doesn't like walking around in socks. unless it's cold, in which case she'll tolerate slippers. even casually, however, she feels compelled to keep her lightsabers on her at all times, so they're clipped to her belt

in verses where Revan is a leader, while she'll forgo any of her usual formal or battle attire in instances where she feels safe, she's always careful to make sure certain things are in easy reach -- her breastplate, gauntlets, and mask, and she'd rather die than put aside her lightsabers, so again, they're clipped to her belt

an AU in which Lady Umbra's schemes come to fruition and she gets her husband on the throne of the planet Veran. additionally, instead of Aurelia being adopted by the Ry clan, Navree ends up adopted by Aurelia's father before her birth

Aurelia Valeria Corva -- princess of Veran Umbra Val'Kyria -- Sith sorcerer from the Unknown Region Faustus Valerius Veritas -- current King of Veran Publius Naevius Veritas -- adopted first child of Faustus and crown prince of Veran

Lady Umbra wanted to keep the kids with them, but Faustus decided it was in their best interest to let them be trained by the Jedi. Aurelia is extremely precocious and manages to stay with her brother despite being several years younger (also she'd just become incredibly difficult to deal with when they separated the siblings, so it was best to let her stick to her brother)

Aurelia means 'gold'. Revan acquired the title of Prodigal Knight, which refers to someone who spends money and resources freely and recklessly, I think there's a bit of irony there. I know it's a nomen and not a praenomen, I'm not trying to construct a perfectly accurate name, I'm going for what I think sounds good

Umbra means 'shadow' and for a Sith, it works quite well. I must admit I don't know what my thought process for Val'Kyria was, but I like it too much to figure out a replacement

Faustus shares the name of a man who made a deal with the Devil -- in this case, his Devil was Lady Umbra. Veritas means 'truth' or 'honesty'. he is actually truthful and honest but people don't tend to believe him

Publius means 'of the people', which fits Navree's personality quite well. I don't know, Naevius just feels like it's keeping in line with both the naming scheme and Navree himself. he also gets the cognomen Veritas because like his adopted father, he is very upfront, truthful and honest. thankfully, people are more willing to accept his truthfulness

Revan would never be a demagogue. oh, she's a populist, she very much listens to her people and wants them to like her. but she's got charisma, rhetoric and logic on her side, why would she need to stoop to playing on the fears of the mob?

Senet is relatively easy and quick to play, so I think if there was a version in Star Wars, Revan would be quite enthusiastic about playing. Malak would win more often than he does -- but his main opponent is Revan, and even if luck is a big factor due to the dice rolls, she's really good at making even the worst rolls work in her favor

something I think about sometimes is Revan and Kreia. I know there's a theory floating around that Kreia is Arren Kae, but listen, hear me out:

Kreia almost was Revan's Jedi Master, but Arren got the job instead for whatever reason and Kreia is bitter about it -- but Kreia locks it up because she's a Jedi, Jedi aren't supposed to feel like this, and she still holds on to the thought that Arren is still her friend -- and then Malachor happens, and when Revan shows up after returning from the Unknown Regions, demands Kreia be their Sith Master. Kreia is still bitter about not being Revan's Jedi Master, but it's made even worse because Revan got Arren killed at Malachor

I dunno why but it's a sibling kinda day

thinking about Navree and how he wanted nothing but the best for her, and in the end he realized letting her walk her own path meant she had to leave him behind. and oh, it hurt, but he loves her too much to make her stay with the Jedi which is clearly not the right place for her

she still calls him often, and she can see how he's running himself ragged trying to make up for Revan's actions. they both know what she's not saying, and that hurts just as much as her voicing the words

he refuses to give her up because he knows her -- she genuinely just wants to be left alone with her thoughts so she can sort herself out. and even afterwards, she's not going to turn against the Republic again

he misses the nights when she'd crawl into bed with him, tiny fingers clutching his sleep shirt as she buried her face in his shirt. he misses the days when they'd sneak out of the Enclave on Dantooine and go exploring. he misses their sparing and philosophical debates

but --

she may not be entirely safe and she may not be happy (yet), but Navree knows his sister is strong. she'll make it out the other end and that she doesn't have any intention of toppling the Republic or joining the Sith

she's his sister no matter what, and that's all that really matters

Navree is older than his sister by about 4-5 years, Alek being somewhere between them in age. Sil'Rava hated going to her own classes as she thought they weren't moving fast enough or particularly challenging, so she instead followed her brother or Alek, occasionally deciding to tag along with the person who would become the Jedi Exile

she was so frustrated when the Council told her she wouldn't become a padawan for another year or two when Navree was about to become an apprentice. she didn't pitch a fit, but she did grumble about it. a lot, and to anyone who would listen (and sometimes to those that wouldn't)

Kreia was about to step up and suggest being Sil'Rava's Master when Arren Kae beat her to it. she'd realized that while the siblings could absolutely function perfectly fine on their own, it was a lot easier to manage Sil'Rava if Navree was around. therefore, Master Kae argued that it was better for everyone if they kept the siblings together and that she'd be willing to take on the responsibility

the Council had to discuss it, but they came to the same conclusion so (with much reluctance on the part of some members) allowed Sil'Rava to become a padawan a few years early and under the same care as her brother

wardrobe: How big is your character's wardrobe? Do they wear things threadbare, or can they afford new clothes often? Are they any good at mending and repairing their own clothing?

Growing up as a Jedi means Revan usually doesn't put much thought into her wardrobe beyond the practical. More often the not, she can be found wearing something akin to the Jedi tunic, pants and boots. She also learned how to mend her clothes when she was younger, but her accident and current lack of sight make things a bit difficult -- in this case, Revan will seek out help to fix it.

Still, there are occasions where Revan has been known to splurge a bit and buy something a fair bit more "extra" (for reference, things Revan wears). This is also the case for when Revan is in a position of power, e.g. Dark Lord of the Sith or Princess of Veran
