BIOGRAPHY.
Ryota was born and raised in Osaka with big sisters only he was a pretty spoiled child. His sisters love him to pieces and they have a close bond resulting in one of his sister visiting a rehearsal while being pregnant. Being the only boy in the family he is good with woman and always treats them nicely. Since he always loved being active it wasn’t a surprise as he joined the group HEADS doing the most dancing there. He loved standing on stage and his answers in interviews showed his goofy side. During those years in the band he became best friends with Toru, who went to the same school.
After the disbanding he focused on school while feeling there was something missing in his life. One night he and Toru sat on a roof and the older told him about his dream to form his own band. Ryota was immediately encouraging him to chase his dream and he even agreed to learn to play the bass so he could join the band. During the start of their band they lived in a dorm together, but it took Ryota a while to get used to live on his own relying on his friend a lot.
The formed band had its up and downs and even though he didn’t like Taka at first as he joined ONE OK ROCK, he and the other bandmate became close friends. The band felt like family to him even though he was always most loyal to their leader since he was his oldest friend. He constantly works on improving his bassist skills as well as learning new instruments. Ryota has often a smile on his lips and thanks to his comments a lot of Taka’s interviews become more fun especially the ones in English.
He is also the only bandmember that doesn’t tease Tomoya, often spending time with the other since they share interests like playing golf. Next to music he also loves his dog Betty which he treats like his child and the dog loves him back just as much. Ryota is a child at heart and can come off as hyperactive sometimes. Once he hits the stage he hardly stands still, giving the concert it’s all every time. He is a bit shyer if it comes to meeting fans, liking to keep somewhat of a distance, while still being grateful for their support.
Ryota loves spending time with friends and he’s always up for a new adventure like deciding randomly to learn a back-flip or being the only one to jump in a pool on a cooler day. He lives life to the fullest, making friends easily and having a bond with them and joining them in their weirdness. He is supportive and makes others smile easily when he decides to smile. Their fans love how warm he is and that he is always the one to do something stupid which makes people laugh.
Since January 2017 he is happily married with Michelle, the woman of his dreams and he still tries to improve his English for her. And near the end of October 2017 their first daughter (Mina) was born. And since he is a natural with kids he and his daughter share a strong bond. He will always protect his little family since they're his whole world.
