Update

I know there hasn’t been much activity lately, and I wanna apologize for that.  Balancing school and commissions has been a hassle - plus we’re in Texas, and that winter storm hit us hard.  But I am still working on the game when I can, and would like to be able to give you guys more frequent posts. On that note, you all are always welcome to send in asks, but I’d like to hear some feedback as well!  What kind of posts would you like to see?  There are some spoilery things I can’t go into of course, but is there anything you’d like to know about the game as we move forward?  My inbox and dms are always open!

Sooo, it's probably fairly obvious at this point, but I just want everyone to know I'm putting the game off until I'm no longer working at Panera. Between that, class, and getting ready to move next month, it's too much to do all at once. I'm quite certain once I'm settled I'll be more motivated to work, but right now the stress is just too much.

I'm sorry to make you guys wait, I really am. I'm definitely not giving up on this, and I am still very excited to give you guys a demo. Once I'm done working, I intend to put together a proper game plan (haha) to work on it all. Hopefully once i have that figured out I can give you a date for the demo.

I just wanna say this somewhere while it's on my mind.

This hatred of men that has gotten so pervasive in the LGBT+ community is harmful. To men, women, nonbinary folk, everyone in between. But, I can't speak for everyone. I am a nonbinary transmasc person, and I only know how it affects me, and I just want to put it out there.

Talking about men the way we so often do puts it into our minds that all men are monsters, and more specifically, that they're out to hurt women. Not to mention that if you're masc aligned and only attracted to women, you're a traitor to both the community and women. I am 100% certain this stems from terf ideology, but it surely has other sources contributing to it as well. I am terrified of the idea of being fully trans. I'm terrified of being attracted only to women. And it's because of this. Because if I am a man who only wants women, I'm a monster. If I choose to live my life as a man, I'm a traitor. Half the time I wonder if I only say I'm bi to appease the part of myself that's afraid. I really don't know. Not to mention I constantly question my own gender identity. There's a part of me that thinks it would be easier to just accept being a woman, or a femme aligned non-binary person, because the women spaces in the LGBT+ community would accept me. But I know it's not who I am.

Am I full a trans man? I don't know. I don't think so. But I can't know for certain, because of this fear. Am I really bi? I don't know. I'm too afraid to question it too thoroughly.

The worst part about it is, throughout writing this, I have had to struggle not to say something like "don't get me wrong, cis men piss me off too." To ensure everyone knows I'm in on it, that I have a problem with them too. And I do want to hold men accountable for the shit they often do, just as I want to hold everyone accountable for their actions.

But saying all men are monsters? That's beyond cruel.
