Basics: Aspiring actress and script writer, Sienna was Paris’ biggest rival at Chilton until she and her mom moved to New York, leaving a space for Rory to transfer a month into the school year.  She ends up sharing a dorm with Paris and Rory in her first year at Yale, and Rory is surprised to find out about the connection.  She’s even more surprised by their other connection — the same ex-boyfriend.  She hadn’t expected her new friend to have been Jess Mariano’s first love, and best friend.

Details: Sienna tends to be very dramatic, she loves fashion and New York city.  She wants to be an actress and script writer, with a passion for both film and stage theatre.  She and Jess dated for a while, and only broke up because he moved to Stars Hollow, but they remained best friends.  She and Paris can be very competitive, but Sienna doesn’t take their rivalry nearly as seriously as Paris does

What’s Paris’s reaction to seeing Sienna at Yale? And Rory’s to finding out she dated Jess?

Paris is really shocked to see her, and definitely makes some derisive comments about how surprising it is that she could even get in

Rory is... definitely very shocked, to say the least, with a side of kind of heartbroken when she sees how comfortable and open the two of them are and realizes that Jess never let her half as close even when they were dating!  She’s also definitely got some “holy shit it’s a small world” going on

Ooh how does the Harvard/Yale game episode go for Sienna?

okay so it’s really not her kind of thing but she wants to experience Everything for writing and acting purposes, so she convinces Jess to drive down to Yale and go with her (“coming of age experiences are good for writing the great american novel, jess”)

Except then she sees Richard and Emily and they insist on her coming to join them to catch up because they’re friends with her grandparents and knew her mother and “oh you simply must tell us everything” and all that

except... Jess is with Sienna, and Rory and Lorelai are with Richard and Emily so like...

It’s definitely chaotic, Sienna gets into a fight with Lorelai about Jess, Jess and Rory are just awkwardly ignoring each other, Emily realizes that Jess is Rory’s ex, Pennilyn Lott shit happens, and Sienna doesn’t even try to be subtle about the Paris and Asher shit
