1.)
art by: @kittykatcar Sonar is a sucker for food. You’ll instantly make friends with him if you give him anything sweet. Just...don’t dress as food. While he doesn’t commit to cannibalism like the others in his world, that doesn’t mean his sanity isn’t waning. He will bite you.
2.)
In order for a True Reset to occur for the Corrupted timeline, both the resetting human and the Judge must be dead and only them. Any other deaths will trigger a normal reset. Rei has yet to figure this out. She’s only done one true reset before.
3.) *Big Secret Here that will be deleted later.
In Classic, before the merging with Fell, the judge is NOT Sans. It’s the human, Momo, that can see through facades and the actions of others. She can perform soul reads, but only when the soul’s host is unconscious. Or, well, prefers to do it that way anyhow. When she performs them, pain surges through the host if they’re awake; being burned alive or skinned...that sort of pain. There’s a hint to this in one of the smaller threads in the Starlings verse tag. Rather than ask Pap about his judge title, she asks what a Stalker is. Wouldn’t a normal kid ask about the judging part?
💭 for sonar
Nearly every Sans of mine tends to have one artistic interest in them. Sonar’s? He dabbles in widdling. When he used to work as a sentry, rather than fool around on the phone or take a nap, he grab a dead tree branch and carve away at it. If you look carefully enough in his home, you may find a few insanely realistic statues. There’s two in particular he’s working on in secret right now; one as a thank you gift and one as a ‘graduation’ present.
* The memory rubs raw as the skeleton sleeps.
✎ Drawing realism
Along with slight cooking knowledge, Sonar often makes still-life sketches based on what he’s seen when visiting other timelines. In truth, when Pappy first decided to choose painting as his outlet, Pappy went to Sonar for help since he saw Sonar’s work.
This exact tree was the first artwork Pappy has ever made, and it was a collaborative piece. Sonar sketched the tree, Pappy colored and shaded it then added the background. The pair still collaborate on some pieces, but for safety’s sake they keep a distance from each other. Sonar’s timeline is steadily turning unstable.

🌼 A story about the past
Sonar looks up at you then adverts his gaze as he tried to find the perfect one. There’s a smile, but one that could be seen by their eyes instead of the typical place.
‘Jitter came to our timeline before my brother’s death. He had loved her the moment he saw her, but the kid was afraid of him. She tried to understand him, to approach and learn about him. Gradually the fear subsided, until one day it seemed to have completely gone. She called him Uncle.’ The smile fell. ‘Since his death, she struggles with getting close to anyone else.’
His eyelight lifts to meet your gaze. ‘Tea is the only one she hasn’t hid from, and for that I am thankful to both you and him’
