A list of things Stark does.
He’ll sniff around the kitchen after either myself or my sister has been in there, doesn’t matter what we went in there for. It is the place where food comes from so we must have put food on the floor right??
Will run at full speed into his harness then will run at full speed away when we pick up his jacket and collar.
Runs away from dogs much smaller than him because they scare him and barks at them when there is enough distance between them.
Picks up the biggest ball he can find and drop it from the top of the stairs when it’s time for us to wake up.
Refuses to sleep on a human bed unless he can put his head on the pillows, moving a pillow to another part of the bed is the quickest way to offend him and make him leave the bed. He wants to sleep like the humans.
Uses his entire body to barge open any door, I can’t close my bedroom door at night and wake up with it still closed.
Climbs on the table to take a drink of whatever glass of water has been left unsupervised despite having a full water bowl.
He doesn’t like the shower or the shower curtain so he will have to sit in the bathroom with you to make sure nothing happens to you. This isn’t optional.
Anyone holding their groceries or shopping is immediately assumed to have something that is intended for him and you don’t have to worry, he’ll go into your bags and find it for you.
Hides in the closet when nobody is paying attention to him.
Kicks you if you stop petting him while he’s lying next to you.
Sniffs a stick. No interest in the stick. One of the humans pick up the stick? How dare you. Give me that. We’re going home.
Same with empty plastic bottles.
“Stark, get her! No not me! Not the ball- Where the fuck is he going?” 9/10 he’s going to hide somewhere upstairs.
Becomes the Worlds Best Behaved Dog whenever someone from his rescue comes to visit him, it’s like he knows they’re from the place we got him from. (My sister thinks he’s worried that they’re going to take him away :( )
Normal dogs gently set themselves down when they lie down, Stark gets to a place he wants to rest at and just collapses dramatically.
Stares at his reflection in the mirror, I don’t know why he does this, to my knowledge dogs aren’t supposed to understand mirrors.
That’s it, I just wanted to share my boy’s weird quirks.
