OMG. I had the most stressful day at work yesterday ;A;!! Thankfully, that is as worse as it gets there. And thank RA my coworkers and manager are amazing people! 

Ma’at (and Sutekh, for that matter) have mercy on those who bully retail workers. Have a sense of honour for yourself. 

Thinking I might actually pack a bag, take my alpaca (complete with crystals inside) and my tarot deck for when I’m on my dinner break... 

But, I hope everyone has a good day today! I’m praying I don’t have another night like yesterday.

What got you started in tarot?

Oh gosh! 🙈🙈 Let’s see... 

I remember even as a child I was interested in these “Witchy” things. (Even though tarot isn’t necessarily witchy and anyone can read them.) I would want to see the tarot readers at fairs or listen to my friend in 5th grade tell me stories about her experience as a witch. (Because 5th grade is definitely old enough to do these things...) I remember staying over at her house one time and they all played with an Ouija board. I think this is the first time I’ve ever felt spirits and their energies. 

I was always pushed away from things of this nature by my Christian friends and family. So I never perused it, even though I’ve had a handful of people in my life who were Wiccan, Pagan, or witches. Now that I look back at it, I feel the Universe was trying its best to get me into it earlier in life. 

While in college, I found out I was an Empath and could read/see aura to an extent. This is when I started to get into more spiritual things like crystals, meditation etc. Again, my roommates played with an Ouija board in our room one night trying to get into contact with the ghost that kept terrorizing them. Though, I still didn’t classify myself as a witch or anything of that nature since I was teetering on that Christian/Buddhism fence.

I think it was four years ago when I finally got my first tarot deck--that I now use for Drunken Tarot readings and playing Pathfinder, lol! And I just started learning. I still have trouble listening in sometimes, but once I get into the groove and this “trance” like state, the words I type while doing readings just come out on their own. I pick up key words and I just go with the flow. 

This is what brought me into my life today, I think. Tarot is definitely my gateway drug, haha!!! I think I owe a lot to tarot to be honest. Without it, I don’t think I’d be quite open enough to get out of the Christian box I was put in. Without it, I don’t think I would have been curious about a Patron god or if I wanted one--because as soon as I thought about that, Auset came to me in a dream. 

I honestly couldn’t be more happy that I am finally comfortable with the fact that I am not Christian and that I love tarot and my path so much! Thank you so much, Luna my love! I’m also so sorry this was longer than I planned. 🙈🙈!! I hope you are well. Much love!! 💖💖

Hiii. I hope all is well. I wanted to ask you in your practice is there a particular element you seem to gravitate towards or work with most?

Oh gosh hmm... I’ve always been pulled toward Wind and has been my favourite element for years. But, as I don’t do a lot of spell work--as I’d like to--I don’t really work with it per se.  One day, I’ll have the space where I can set up a spell work altar etc. and then I can do all the witchy things. My heart cries and screams for it to happen. I am dying to do more witchy things, have witchy friends to do them with and hang out with--have tea together. All the things. 

One day 🙈🙈 But thank you so much to asking, Ivan!! I appreciate it.

1. I’m a huge gamer and love playing video games--though I don’t show it often, I do like talking about my favourites and fangirling over them. 

2. I main Mercy in Overwatch. Just... Just Mercy. I need to get better with Pharah...

3. I’m an author who’s getting ready to publish her first ever novel here soon--with two more that are planned on the way in the coming years! 

4. I am terrified of dinosaurs and heights. 

5. I love Egypt--as you can see--and Japan. I love culture a lot and learning about it is amazing.

6. I am a Lolita Fashion kind of gal and feel quite out of place when I don’t wear my dresses. 

7. I actually suffer from misophonia--the hatred of sound--and have a list of trigger sounds that set me in an unforgivable rage. This causes me to not want to leave the house sometimes--or even my room.

8. I’m a huge nerd--like most of us--and love talking about my fandoms. 

9. 2016 has been an interesting year for me. I finally set out on my true witchy journey as I like to call it and am 100%--and then some--comfortable with being out of the Christian Box I was born into. Which I owe huge thanks to Auset and Sutekh for. I love you both omg.

10. I am bisexual ;) and had a low key huge crush on Auset, though I’m sure She knew. And I’m sure my besties would actually call it a high key crush.

11. I went to college for Graphic Design and wish I went for something like Egyptology or Astronomy. 

BONUS: My all time favourite crystals are labradorite and red jasper--which funny enough, I have very little of.
