Do you think Mclooy is that kind of cool old man who tells horror stories about his youth, like when he faced the devil on the hill with a machete?

Or when your old house was haunted by poltergeists and when you saw a cryptid after a night of partying?

ha ha I ask this because I think he would be that kind of man and Anastacha, Henry would listen to his stories attentively. and Steven being a party pooper saying "that didn't happen🙄" but deep down he is scared hahaha 🤣

But I’d rather like to think that Steven would encourage him because he likes to see people’s reactions to his dad’s stories. He laughs it off like they’re just silly tales from an old man, but deep down he 100% believes them and if he actually heard La Llorona himself he would freak the f out 🤣

Y’know I was really confused after the SU:F finale because people kept posting about how Connie and Steven kissed and are finally dating because somehow I just assumed that?? They have been dating for a while before that??? And were just being innnocent and taking it slow or, you know, smooching off screen?????

I dunno why but for some reason it didn’t even occur to me that they wouldn’t have been dating before SU:F, I just watched the movie, saw Connie kiss Steven on the cheek, and assumed that that means they started dating off-screen you know? And now I’m.......confused because everyone’s like “haha yay connverse is finally canon” and I’m here like “wait there was a time when it wasn’t??”

After giving this some thought I’ve come to the conclusion that 1) I obviously have different boundaries set about what is just beating friendly and what is reserved for people who are dating and 2) crewniverse never gave us other option than either connverse or them being friends, because Steven has zero friends that would be his age, and, you know, human. (Steven/Gem shippers please go die thank you) And I’m now kinda angry because I (and Steven too probably) just watched the episode where Connie is introduced and went “welp clearly she’s the one because there are no other options.” And that’s kinda not fair. I dunno. I guess I prefer this to Adventure Time’s Finn having crushes on adults and then being a shitty boyfriend, but Steven has never met another person his own age aside Connie and maybe like, Ronaldo’s brother who stopped being important after like two episodes. He met Connie and she had no one either, so they became best friends and then started dating and it feels like they had no other options so they just went with it.

tl;dr – Steven met Connie and never felt the need to make any other friends his own age and we just collectively went “yup she’s the one” and never questioned the fact that they’re the only two kids their age in Beach City. And it makes me sad.

Marc also survived the Snap. I know that Steven thought he was snapped, and that he only really started being around after everyone came back, and it was actually part of the reason he didn’t too deeply question his gaps in memory.

I’m not certain. I think Marc is only one life from a metaphysical perspective, but spiritually may be one soul, a soul split, three or more, or something else entirely. I’m not sure it’s knowable. What even is a soul, really?

I don’t think any of them were snapped, though. It was half of all life, and they’re though psychologically more than one person, physically only one human being. It’s unique for sure but I don’t think Thanos would have been like ‘but be sure to only Snap some of the people living in one body’. His point was reducing the population, not the number of distinct consciousnesses.

Also Jake has memories from that time, I’m pretty sure.

Not dumb at all! And yes I’d like to draw him again cx I have a picture with him and Francis hanging out planned, and I would like to do more Steven / Afton stuff :3

How do you help with Marc, Steven, and Jakes anxiety then?

I try not to intervene too much with them because I usually make things worse, as well as trying to maintain boundaries for myself, but I’ve given them times where I’m sure to be available if they are having an anxiety attack or need to talk to get grounded. I always keep the burner with the number they have on me for texts.
