Leshy hums to himself. He carries Kiki’s breakfast just as he has every morning since the poisoning. The days blend together here, but he’s starting to get used to tracking time the same way mortals do. The path is familiar to him now, but he sweeps his cane out in front of him regardless. There’s always the chance there could be a new obstacle or an unexpected interloper. He turns toward Kiki’s hut and moves his cane to thunk against the door— But he thunks against something else instead. Leshy pauses, confused. He sniffs the air. A grin spreads across his face. “Kiki?” “Ta-da!” She says, nudging his cane with her boot. “I can walk!”
