Warren Cozner loved his Uncle Kevin, he always had. The two were extremely close, with Kevin and his husband Raymond stepping in where Warren's own parents had failed and left their young son alone far more than they should have. He knew both of his uncles' colleagues, finding Uncle Raymond's precinct far easier to hang out with than Kevin's fellow professors, but he wouldn't have called himself close with either.

But when a badly timed lunch with his uncle puts a target on his back, Cozie found himself sent off to a safehouse with Kevin and Jake Peralta, and he finds himself getting closer to the detective than he ever would have expected.

Quick important update to Warren’s bio! I will be adding them to the intro post, but the gist of it is under the read more on this post!

His mother is no longer some random one-night-stand woman. His mother is Shriek, Cletus Kasady’s mutant villain wife. This makes more sense than a one night stand

Because of this, Warren has VERY LIMITED empathy and is able to sense emotions of those around him. He has a very limited radius and this also helps him retain better control of Carnage as the symbiote is unable to hide secret motives from Warren.

After Cletus nearly killed Shriek, she fled and intended to stay away from him for as long as possible. In that time she found out she was pregnant with Warren. After he was born she raised him to be a villain like her, but because his ‘power’ was nothing like hers, she began to see him as more of a liability and one night refused to break him out of jail, leaving him there by himself.

Too young to stay in a Juvenile Detention Center, he was given to an adoption agency where he was adopted after being in the system for a few years.

This is where he is adopted by a lovely couple that loved him despite his anger/violent tendencies and taught him ways to control his temper.

He still has outbursts, but will take himself away from other people to reduce the damage Carnage can do and has techniques to calm himself down
