So, I had a ponder about the lore of my, I guess I’ll call it a head world??? Since it’s the place where all my OCs exists, I guess. ANYWAY, I wanted to work on some parts of the lore, mainly on this version of “Heaven” Zazriel is in. I noticed I had a FUCKTON of demons and having Zazriel as the only angel didn’t seem fair. So I’mma babble about it under the cut.

So, what I was thinking is that there’s a, albeit obvious, difference between Hell and Heaven mainly in terms of sense of place(?) Like  Hell is more like a huge continent in on itself, however Heaven is more like an exclusive member’s clubhouse, as it’s a reflection on how hard it is to be good and remain good and how easy it is to just commit a sin and go to Hell. 

To match, pretty much all (bog standard) angels look same-y. Angels pretty much look humanoid with added wings, halos, flowing gowns and constant luminosity of them. (Also I wanted to have their eyes blank as a meaning to the eyes being windows to the soul, so if you look at an angel right into the eye, you’re staring straight into the soul, no obstructions.)

Much like the demons that inhabit Hell, angels that are in Heaven are subjected to their “heavenly virtue” (Humility, Kindness, Abstinence, Chastity, Patience, Liberality and Dilligence.) based on how they passed on. Zazriel is an angel of Kindness.

Despite the declining number of souls becoming angels, one angel can easily overpower a demon. Their constant luminescence used as a weapon can banish a demon straight to hell when in their angelic state. As a result, demons attacked by angels will have a pitch-black burn which overtime will become scars on their person as a permant reminder to never cross paths. (That’s how Ectibod got that handprint on his arm and the circular pattern on the left side of his chest.)

If it’s anything that both angels AND demons are afraid of, it’s a fallen angel. (I’ll think more on it as I figure it out.)

How Haniel is hated by the other angels.

(This is mainly a reference for me)

Zazriel: Despite their extensive life into being the messenger of God, he thinks he can best them as the most righteous.

Lailah: He ultimately finds her sensitivity and compassion to other angels as a weakness.

Zuphlas: He would constantly remind him of his missing wing and how he lost it to now-fallen angel Uzziah.

Paschar: Never liked how he acts and that it was never the proper way to act if he wanted to get anywhere.

Forfax: He would make constant connections about her and Uzziah and would tell her how she would fall next.

Tabbris: Totes the "Guilty by Association" card to him for trying to get his former classmate to see the blatant errors of his ways.

Xapham: He only hates them cuz of a fallen angel shares their name, he's that petty.

Usiel: Totes the "Guilty by Association" card as well but with her son who is now a bug demon that absorbed himself in debauchery. Also guilt trips her for not saving her husband from Uzziah's stabbing.
