MC's personality

Quick question: What kind of MC do you like to play? (personality)

When I write choices/dialogues, I like to put a lot of choices to portray all the different personalities that MC can have. Even if it doesn't always have a huge impact on the plot, I think it still feels more immersive.

I made a list with some big personality-types (and I try to make at least one choice for each), but I think it could be cool if you shared what kind of MC you like to play. If I already have it on my list then it's cool, if I don't then it could be fun to add it!

(For exemple: quiet and grumpy, overexcited, shy, rude without realizing it, naive, kind with anyone, silent/don't talk a lot...)

a little more info about the friend system: each friend carries a small notebook around their neck or shoulder. from Mon - Sat, everyone is obliged to jot down how their friend is acting, feeling, and if there are any oddities or if everything's the same as always. on Saturday, after the final Mingle of the week, before MC steps into their home, they place the notebook in front of the door for it to be collected. by Monday, it'll be in front of the door again, ready for the process to repeat itself.

it's a system designed to foster a tight-knit community where everyone looks out for one another.

riptide is structured a little diffy for story purposes but surfers have to participate in smaller competitions firsts to rack up points, like local comps. then it typically goes junior tour, (20 and under, MC’s first JT was when they were 9) challenger series, qualifying series, and then championship tour (the one MC’s currently going on at 22!)

n’s CT was when they were 24, a year prior. MC has qualified for the CT in previous years but freddie values their education immensely lol.

but all this to say, yes. they do have a decent online following since they’re very talented but also due to them dating lee. they are like a local celebrity in their town as well lol always being given free stuff especially since most store owners have known MC their whole lives. MC is also seen throughout their life in online surfing videos but hilo only made and managed w/ aria a youtube channel when they were like 14, 15

It's coming, I promise! A lot happens in the demo, that's why. (like an ambush) and there's a LOT of variables for the Dove. MC can react to everything so differently so it's taking a bit. Plus it branches depending on whether MC wants to be pragmatic or...violent....

It's kinda depressing because probably MC is seen more as a title /symbol/ pawn of a dynasty than a person. And they have no right to complain, because they are in a privileged position when most people in the world have a harder life.

MC is definitely seen as a pawn in a bigger game. They are not their own person, nor do they have agency. MC is strictly regulated and every move of theirs has to be approved by 182923822 people. And you're right. MC complaining usually just gets eye rolls from people.

MC will get that a lot from C, who is a worker at the country club they frequent at. They aren't privileged and they need to work to survive. MC's woes would just be annoying to them lol
