i love nathan's evolution in heroes because he was so unlikable in s1, and he does sort of redeem himself but he keeps making the wrong choices eventually even though he's convinced he's doing the right thing

but ultimately he is so easily manipulated because he's always trying to be his daddy and mommy's good little boy

it must be so frustrating for peter who wants to look up to his big brother and always does the right thing and sees the person he loves most keep making terrible choices

peter doesn't care about approval, so he will always do right by others. nathan on the other hand,

and it kills peter truly to keep seeing his brother lose his way over and over again

a friend of milton made the cutest interview with him about his character on wayward and he talked about how daniel isn't a bad person but was forced to be bad by his life circumstances, saying that if all you ever hear is people telling you you are bad, especially in the environment daniel was in, then you will start to believe it. i am so so glad that he truly gets daniel like i get him and also this made me think about the fact that maybe, the reason i love daniel so much, is because i definitely get that feeling. as someone who's always been told they were going to be a failure, i get that constant voice in my head that i'll never succeed in life and it is such a struggle to not listen to it

just realized that in 2003 the year wayward takes place i was 10 years old and blasting metamorphosis by hilary duff in my room and i think that's really funny

new headcanon unlocked: daniel being moody and gay and pretending he likes badass music but actually listening to hilary duff in secret

but actually he would probably really be into simple plan like i was and listening to i'm just a kid on repeat because that song is so him when you think about it

started (re)watching heroes and i love how it actually aged pretty well. claire getting revenge/trying to kill her rapist, nikki being a struggling single mom and having an evil alter ego who fucks shit up (including killing the people threatening her) I LOVE UNHINGED WOMEN

also peter is so fine and a sweetheart milo ventimiglia i will always have a crush on you
