ABOUT THE BLOGGER - - - - - - - - - - Name: Julia Dias* Birth-date: 14-09-1993 Current city: Montreal, Canada ABOUT THE BLOG - - - - - - - - - - - The beginning of something: I started this Legend of Zelda blog back in april 2013. At first, it was called 'Eldin-Province'. It wasn't my first Tumblr blogging experience. I had started in february 2012 a 'tropical' blog, that later became a 'luxury' blog and then a 'everything you love' blog. How did it all start? My love for The Legend of Zelda started back in the nineties. As far as I can remember, my uncle would play Ocarina of Time and Super Mario 64 on his brand new Nintendo64. That's how my interest for videogames started. He would play for hours, trying to beat all the bosses and levels. He lived pretty far, so whenever I'd come for a visit, I would sit with my brother and watch him rage his way to the end of the game! It was AMAZING. And that's also when I had my first crush - Yeah you guessed it, on Link. The first time I held a GameCube controller in my hands, it changed my life. Screw the Barbies and Legos, I want to play Four Swords (and suck at it). I'd also play other games, but for some reason, I loved LoZ more than anything. Was it the story? The characters? The music? All of this? Probably. But it reminded me of the good ol' days. And it helped me through tough times. My uncle stopped playing, but now I could watch my big brother play. He was even more passionate about LoZ than I was, and soon we'd have almost all games at home! Before the Netflix era (lol), I'd sit in the living room and watch him play whenever we both came home from school. Whenever he was stuck on a level, we'd use our one lame-and-slow computer to search for hints or use the paper guide. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, I've seen him beat the games twice. Glad I grew up with a cool uncle and an awesome brother that made me love (watching them play) videogames. That's how it started. How come you run a LoZ blog but never even finished a game? The answer is simple. I SUCK AT VIDEOGAMES. The only videogame I beat is Animal Crossing New Leaf. Even at The Sims I suck. And Roller Coaster Tycoon. I like to watch. The story is interesting. But whenever I see the bosses, I am scared they will kill Link and I panic. And I die. And I hate when Link dies. I'm a poop. Sorry! Some people like watching MMA but suck at sport. Does this means they can't run a MMA blog? Na. Be whatever you want in life, yo. Do what'chu want. I like Link. I blog about Link. And Zelda. And everyone in the LoZ universe! Why have you been on 'hiatus' for so long? Work. Life. Lots of things. Right now, I am at home. I still have a job, but as I am having a ton of anxiety and vertigo, the doctor asked that I stay home. It feels good to be back and see my dashboard filled with LoZ posts. It will help with my anxiety, that's for sure. I have also started a personal blog (reviews, diary, etc).
