Cathinka on her Wedding morning 💕 . As a wedding photographer, I know just how stressful the whole process of getting ready on the morning of your wedding can be. I've been there; there's such a huge lead up to the big day and before you know it you're waking up on your wedding day excited and nervous. There are people coming and going, there's a timeline to stick to, and combined with all your emotions about the day, it's easy to become overwhelmed. So to help you prepare for your wedding morning, and make it as chilled out, relaxing, and fun as possible, I've put together some Tips for a calm wedding morning, allowing you to be as present as possible. 1. Go to bed early the night before! With nerves running high it may take you a little bit longer to drift off, so head to bed a little bit earlier than normal. 2. Practice mindfulness, meditation or even yoga, in the morning. 3. Don't Forget to Eat! A layered breakfast bowl with fresh fruit, natural yogurt and granol and calming herbal tea will set you up nicely for the day. 4. Time your hair and make-up trials when you do them, so you know how long they'll take. Always make sure to have some extra time for unforeseen events 5. Prepare a playlist of your favourite songs to listen to! 6. Have your favourite scent as a room diffuser, and as you’re getting ready, a lovely aroma will fill the space. After the big day, that scent will always take you back to that morning! 7. No More Planning! Make sure to have everything ready to go and in place before the big day! 8. Make sure you allow for plenty of contingency time in your wedding day timeline. 9. Try to only surround yourself with the people you want with you on the morning of your wedding. Nominate a trusted person to direct questions and queries to (or to hand over your phone to), to minimise last minute panic and to take any pressure away from you, so you can enjoy your day in full. 10. Today is AGAIN a magically beautiful winter day with sun! ✨☀️ Very cold though! ❄️ And now we are actually starting to long for a little warmer weather. Preferably at the beach, feet in the sand, sandals in the hand and a sea glistening with sun ☀️☀️☀️ . Just a year ago we went to Thailand because we missed the sun and warm breezes so much! 🐘🌴🐘This year we're probably not travelling anyhere... 😷 But then we must make the small world bigger. You can discover things even in a place you have lived all your life, if you are a little creative. It's good for the environment, and it might be good for us. Foreign travel may not come back to its former glory when people discovered all that the local tourism industry can offer. In Sweden visits to farm shops and purchases via REKO rings increased during the pandemic. People got motorhomes and the nature tourism nature tourism exploded this year. Tomorrow is my birthday! Fifty! A half century! It feels like a big deal and I’ve been counting down this day for a L O N G time - since before I was forty nine in fact. What can I say? I was very excited about the prospect! First my plan was to be in Australia on the big day. Then Corona put a stop to it and we cancelled the plans. My second plan was then to have had a BIG PARTY now in February, since the virus "surely should be gone by now"... But no... 🤪 Instead I will celebrate with my husband and our three children at home in Helsingborg. Dinner at a nice restaurant, but at different tables because not even families living together are allowed to sit together. And only until 20.00. It's lucky we can party on at home later!🤩🥂 . The big party will have to wait until (hopefully) the end of the summer! But then we will really make up for it! There's no doubt that after such a long time without, a big celebration party will be at the top of many people's minds. Then I will sit at the high table and receive kisses and hugs from ALL my loved ones! Much like at Emelie and Karl's wedding when he left the table😂❤️ . I grow up with this... 🙏🖌👩🏼‍🎨Both my Mom and my Bonus dad are professional artists, and since I was born I have lived among brushes, pigments and all kind of artist material. My brother and I were dragged to various beautiful places that "needed" to be painted on a beautiful watercolor paper. Landscape, sheep and cows. Gotland and Öland are still the favourites... We were bribed to sit model against candy haha😂🍬We visited endlessly of exhibitions and met exciting, creative souls. And we loved it. For I while I also wanted to be an artist. I painted for many years and also worked for three years in an Artist Supply store in Stockholm, "Master's Konstnärsmaterial" at Söder. My favourite Technique was Egg tempera. Then the photography took over📸 But I love being in my mom's artist studio! I always get so inspired and creative as soon as I go in here! ⚡️💡🧠 .
