The interviewer's eyes gleam and a shiver of foreboding goes down his spine. He definitely slipped up there. Legend never said that he couldn't talk about what they do in their free time... right? Honestly, the crash course on interview etiquette they had last night has long since melted away...
"You're already the third person to comment it, yet the same courtesy everyone experiences is not extended to his long time rival Warriors. Quite the bitter history they seem to have. Anything to say about that?"
Oh! Ohhh it's just that. "You don't have to worry about it! Believe me, they love each other like brothers, but they had this misunderstanding a few years ago and now they--"
"Rulie."
Hyrule immediately snaps his back ramrod straight. Hours of being brutally corrected on one's posture leaves a mark on a person.
"Ah, Legend. Back so soon?"
From the doorway, his friend and mentor raises a brow at him, exhaustion practically rolling off him.
"It has been two hours already, are you still not done?"
Has it been this long already? Oops.
"Sorry, but I'll have to end the interview now," Hyrule says to the interviewer who looks... put out to say the least, but they don't push. "Ledge here gets cranky if he doesn't get his afternoon quiet time."

So Twilight. I wanted him to have a raven theme but it still turned into this weird feather / fur fusion so I guess we are keeping it this way
I realized later into the drawing that the pose I choose didn't really show of his chest window so have another vague drawing to visualize how it looks like:

You know how twilight princess was released when edgy stuff was very in? I might have leaned into that. I had eyeshadow on him as well, but it felt a little too much so just sharp eyeliner it is!
Twilight, I feel like, would surprise you with his music choice. Anything from dramatic pieces to love songs to hip hop really. As long as he can string a story to it he'll be fine!
Twilight, just like irl, debuted with an incredibly edgy costume but is like one of the nicest dudes ever if you meet him in person. Legend on the other hand, debuted in like cutesy pink frilly costume, but can get incredibly scathing (though never without reason).
Speaking of Legend: the reason the interviewer in the above piece of writing didn't push Hyrule on the story behind the beef between Warriors and Twilight is because Legend is in the room and you don't try stuff when he is in the room.
What is the beef between Twilight and Warriors you say? Idk you tell me :)))) Could be something serious, or something petty, but they just don't vibe that well together even if they do majorly respect each other and will play nice in front of their junior skaters. They won't play as nice when they're not there (rip Time).
Mentioned in this post already but: Twilight comes from a small town and used to pair skate with Midna (sponsored by her filthy rich parents), but then Midna one day mysteriously quit and ghosted him. They're reconnecting now, but there is still unspoken hurt between them.
This outfit might have been an outfit he wore while skating with midna actually!

if you by any chance wonder just how insane I am: I animated the whole thing last night out of nowhere. Just sat down at 9pm for a quick drawing sesh and didn't raise my head till 2am (I did take a break to record myself spinning a pillow for a reference, probably the only reason my back is still functioning)
first sketch. just basic poses and emotion (and clothes and hair and-)
first rough. Sun's hair felt a little off, so I decided to FINALLY go to sleep and see if I could fix it the next day..
..and I think I did. It's definitely more flowy, just the way I like it. I also added a little more frames for Sky in the beginning
I'm aware he's always been like this but I feel like this update kind of just emphasizes it. I'm not saying it means anything I just like the extra character :)

Don't think about about the warmth buzzing under your chest as the resident sleepyhead pressed his most treasured companion in your hands. Don't think about how the blade greeted you like an old friend or the start of an eternal legacy fluttering in the wind.
Don't think about the hopping stone statues and careful movements of the rancher. Don't think about two dark forms, curled against each other despite their differences.
Don't think about stern words in the heat of creation or the passion dripping from the smithy's eyes. Don't think about him as something you thought you would never see again.
Don't think about the crooked eyebrows and flailing limbs. The sailor always had a knack for storytelling, so ignore the way wind twirls around his locks. Don't think about the sea.
Don't think about the wooden bowl filled with warm soup after a day of trudging through the rain. Don't think about scars that stretch the body or vacant houses now touched with life anew.
Don't think about shattering pots and delighted laughter in darkness. Don't think about how the traveler pokes at your attitude. Don't think about the legacy you will leave behind.
Don't think... don't wonder... just how much time do you have left with them?

I unfortunately got afflicted with this horrible sickness called The FeelsTM and spend the last week working on this piece. Whenever I scroll through ao3 for fanfics and I bump into those post-lu fics I get so so so sad (actually I don't even need to scroll through ao3 for that to happen it just randomly ambushes me).
i gave up on trying to have them make out so fem ravioli kiss on the cheek instead, and some marink and zelink because my mutuals were feeling romantical, apparently!
