TRUTH Anduin is there a thing going on with Wrathion?

“By a ‘thing’, I assume you mean—surely this is far too forward a question to ask a priest… a king, no less.” He does not like displaying his rank, but Anduin Llane Wrynn is king of Stormwind and the Grand Alliance and he will not bandy words with someone like this! Yet there is some enchantment about him, for his heart skips a few beats as his tongue works itself loose and he begins to speak, cheeks turning a pretty shade of pink.

“I see much of the Black Prince and he has become a valuable ally and advisor. I care deeply for him, though I am unsure of his feelings toward me. As a king, I haven’t time to further consider this, however, and as a priest, I am content to allow the Light to work as it wills.”

Ysera in her true form, the emerald leviathan curled around the young human king. So much burdens and tragedies placed upon a young soul, it made her heart heavy. With her snout nearly touching her tail and a wing draped over him, protecting him, keeping him from view and providing warmth as winter was setting in. The snow had yet to fall but the biting cold was there. A deep purr like rumble, rattled in Ysera's throat. A content sound, exhaling to give a soft coo like noise. The same sounds that would calm her own children, providing comfort. Just as she does now to who she considers one of her own. (okay I'll stop now. But on a scale of 1 to 10, how protected does Anduin feel rn?)

Outside the walls of Stormwind Keep, the world was savage and cold. It was a different kind of savagery within and right now, Anduin was exhausted by it. He drew tighter to the warmth of the dragon and closed his eyes, knowing he should not sleep, but that if he did, he would be safe.

“I cannot make it end, Lady Ysera—I am as helpless as the rest of the people of Azeroth, even if I am a king. What good is a useless crown?”

Anduin, who has remained so strong, stony in the face of loss after loss, with innumerable moments of sadness rearing their ugly heads in his deepest nightmares... From the trial of Garrosh Hellscream to the death of his father, to the loss of all those innocent souls at the hands of the Banshee Queen on a day that was supposed to have represented reconciliation between the people of Stormwind and those of her forsaken-claimed Undercity, it is more than one soul should have to bear, yet bear up under it, he does.

Until he is allowed to let the burden down for a moment.

Eyes the color of a clear autumn sky burn with that sadness, tears blurring his vision, reddening the whites so that the blue is even more vivid. Anduin Wrynn is lovely in his anguish, but he is still in agony and his looks do nothing for him when he is wreathed about by grief. The tears fall freely down his face as he reaches out to clutch at her, helpless as the boy he was barely able to be before time and fate stole everything away from him, bit by bit, leaving him with little other than hope and his faith in the Light.

King Anduin Wrynn’s youthful visage twists in a mask of contemptuous revulsion, fair cheeks flushing with the brazen suggestiveness of the words. If there is fear in him, it does not show in the blaze of his sky blue eyes. Jaw set, he draws himself up and addresses this threat. 

“Your words are empty, stranger. Depart now, before I must call the household guard to remove you.”

Truth. Anduin aren't you tired of being nice? Don't you just wanna go apeshit?

Such impertinence! His first thought, he realizes, is sharp and unkind. This individual seems as if they may actually care for the prince—no, the king’s mental welfare. They simply have an uncouth way of phrasing it.

“There are many aspects of the priesthood and my crown which are, admittedly, exhausting, yes,” he admits, feeling no ache in his formerly shattered bones to warn him of danger or ill will. “However, the Light does not see fit to vent itself through me in that way—the path of ire isn’t mine to follow.” Anduin shrugs, shaking his head. “But I am a competent swordsman and battlemage, when the need arises, so if that was the answer you sought…” One hand opens, waving gently as if to say ‘there you have it’.
