Bio: A power-type NEXT, Kotetsu joins the ranks of Sternbild heroes after being saved by his hero, Mr. Legend. He vows only to use his power for good and proves himself by saving his one-day wife, Tomoe, from a burning warehouse after having refused to use his NEXT abilities to fight a young Antonio Lopez (Rock Bison). Kotetsu and Tomoe will go on to have a daughter, Kaede, though Kotetsu continues his hero work. It is his dream and his purpose and Tomoe supports him, even throughout her illness. Kaede is four years old when she loses her mother and Kotetsu’s mother and brother step in to raise the child when it seems he cannot. Whether due to grief or misplaced obligation, Kotetsu continues his life in Sternbild working as a hero sponsored by TopMaG, though the company is eventually bought out by Apollon media. Appearance: Tall, lanky but broad in the chest, dark brown hair and sloe brown eyes, he is usually seen wearing slacks, a vest, and dress shoes; a hat is optional.
Personality: Optimistic and idealistic even into his middle-age, Kotetsu is a difficult man to beat down. He wants to think the best of most everyone and hasn’t a suspicious bone in his body. Not terribly perceptive when it comes to feelings, he can sometimes seem insensitive, but he is ultimately gentle and kindhearted, wanting only to help—to be a hero.
