I spent the majority of today playing Star Fox 64.

Unfortunately for me, ALL of my old muscle memory still existed because I had a very typical lapse in display (the cable cut out cus the port on the console was dusty), and my pause input didn't register.

So I flew blind for about 10 seconds while I blew out the port.

Visuals back, I'm entering all-range mode on Corneria, so a boss fight is JUST starting. I somehow lost like no health.

I pick up the controller.

I smoke that boss in under 10 seconds, in the same way I always did as a kid. Shoot out the foot so the boss can't move, U-turn, annihilate the weak spot.

The display cuts again immediately after.

That was my first time fighting that boss in over 10 years, and I will never do anything that cool ever again.

I am... Really enjoying this newfound artistic passion. Art fight came and went and I'm still drawing and creating. And I'm PACING MYSELF. No more sitting here for 10 hours working on five drawings in a day.

I made my N'zoth sticker and then played A Little To The Left, HAD MY ASSESSMENT APPOINTMENT FOR TOP SURGERY (!!! HUGE W), started work on a long-term commission and then played some hi-fi rush. Did dishes at some point in the middle there.

Being mentally healthier than I was years previously really is noticeable.
