What are Terra and Marky’s dynamic with Abraham and Mary?

Terra & Abraham

These two are so funny to me because it's heavily implies, if not canon, in the comics that they were a thing for a while.

In her Fandom Wiki, it states; "As a young adult, its heavily implied she was at least sexually involved with Abraham - son of Dupli-Kate and the Immortal - if not dating him."

And in the comic panel below, specifically the middle one, is where I pull my headcanon of Abraham being able to multiply himself.

The thought of Mark disliking Abraham in a 'you are not good enough/stay away from my daughter type of way' has me ROLLING! Overall I think the two of them have an 'On again-Off again' sort of relationship dynamic. Something straight out of an MTV drama, but neither is aiming to emotionally harm the other. Abraham is the only reason (besides visiting her grandma) that Terra bothers to come visit Earth on her own time. Perhaps, a few centuries into the future, they find their ways back to one another for good.

Mary & Marky

In my heart of hearts; these two are my OTP. Aside from the fact that I think it'd be hilarious if Mark had to worry about BOTH of his children being with one of the Cha Twins; Mary and Marky would be good for each other. A good 'childhood friends to lovers' type of story. Mary would bring out the most of Marky's humanity, keeping him anchored to Earth and reminding him of the beauty it has to offer. Marky would encourage Mary to push her powers to the limits and be the best/strongest version of herself she can be on the battle field. He would also love to take her off world and show her the different fashions that other galaxies have to offer. Immortal and Kate both love and approve of Marky as if he were another son, so they give their blessing without question. Best friends and soulmates.

Marky & Abraham

These two are so cute. Between growing up together and going into life-or-death situations everyday; Abe and Marky share a strong bond. Abraham is one of the very select male figures in Marky's life that the Viltrumite would follow without challenge or question (the other two being Scott and Immortal). Half of Marky's wardrobe is really just clothes he's stolen from Abraham during sleepovers. Marky also relies on Abe to help him think rationally when his emotions get the better of him. In turn, Abe relies on Marky to pull him out of his own head when quick decisions need to be made. Great together on the battle field.

Terra & Mary

The dynamic between these two is simple and slow. Mary is friendly towards Terra (as she is with almost every everybody) but that's as far as it goes from Mary. In turn, Terra is civil with Mary whenever she is on Earth. Both mostly act as such for the sake of Abraham. Later on in life, I think Terra would make the first move into trying to build a genuine friendship with Mary; since she feels as though Mary is one of the very few people in her life that does not put her on a pedestal because of her birthright. Mary would be open to such and would love to be one of Terra's first real friends.

Do you think MultiPaul ever got to meet his nephew and niece? What would Abraham and Mary think of their uncle?

I'm definitely a fan of Paul getting to meet his niece & nephew.

I think Kate would call/let Paul know about the Twins shortly after they were born. Maybe even extend an olive branch for him to come over one day and meet them in person. She'd send Immortal out on some random errand in the city for the day so she and Paul could have the house to themselves (and the babies).

Paul would be nervous/uncomfortable to hold them for the first time. He was never really a fan of kids in the first place, but something about the thought of holding a brand new life with the blood on his hands...

Kate, in all her cleverness, pulled the "omg I have to give Mary a bath! Here, hold Abe for me!" and then rushed out of the room, leaving Paul alone, awkwardly holding baby Abraham. A little bit later, Kate came back with Mary to see Paul leaned back on the couch with Abraham happily laying on top his chest.

She was quick to put Mary right on top of him too and snap and ungodly amount of pictures.

As kids (around 5-8); the Twins think of Paul as their 'cool uncle' that comes around every once in a while, but sends them money & gifts.

When they're a bit older (10-12); Kate sat them both down and explained to them who Paul really was, what he did for work, why she didn't talk to her brother for years, why he can't come to visit while Immortal is in the house, etc. (in a kid friendly manner ofc)

During their teen years (13-17) was a bit iffy. Mary wouldn't go out of her way to see Paul, but she never shunned him out or turned down any sort of gifts/money/advice he had for her. She was just busy trying to figure herself out.

Abraham, however; became close to Paul. In a previous hc post of mine, I mention how I think Abraham would weirdly develop the ability to duplicate himself (around 16 years old) along side his other powers. With this strange development, I think he would reach out to Paul for help to manage it. Paul would be confused as to why Abraham wouldn't ask/tell Kate about his powers, and would be surprised when Abraham replied with some vague statement about "wanting to use his powers to the full extent" (think MultiPaul prison break in s2ep6).

When they're both into early adulthood (20-27); I think they'd both have a pretty good relationship with Paul. Both individually and as a unit. To Mary; Paul is still her 'cool uncle'. They both act as each other's anchor to each others humanity.

To Abraham; He and Paul have a multilayered relationship. Uncle & nephew, teacher & student, coworkers...

INVINCIBLE: Pseudo-Scenes

For those who don't know me: I love me some pseudo-scenes. [Basically, a scene that, although looks like it comes from a show, isn't really canon and real]

Is closer to his father and holds a lot of the same values as Immortal, but has the flexibility to apply them to certain situations at hand.

Dresses with a bit of feminine flare. Let's Mary style his outfits most the the time.

Can cook so well that someone's Chinese grandma keeps asking him to come over for the holidays.

Pretty much took over the household cooking since the age of 12. Of course Immortal helps him out; it's one of their ways of bonding.

Has a crazy high pain tolerance due to her crazy fast healing factor. Can tank a punch to the face as if it were a kitten swat.

Has a small gap between her two front teeth

Incorporates the color purple into her clothes in any way possible

Closer to her mom rather than her dad, but by no means has a bad relationship with Immortal.

Can't cook for shit. She won't burn the house down, but don't ask her to make anything that will have her in the kitchen for longer than 30 minutes

A true Lover Girl! Both romantically and platonically

Explosive anger. She's level headed most of the time, but all other heroes know to clear the room when she gets pissed

She will take an entire day off just to fly to a 7-Eleven in Korea to stock up on snacks

MMA masters and can wrestle pretty damn good. Makes takedowns of villains much easier.

Referred to as 'The Twins', but some time after Abe develops the ability to multiply himself; people start mistakenly calling them 'The Triplets' or 'The Quadruplets'.

They share the love language of physical touch. Marky was subject to the middle of many cuddle piles during movie nights.

Arts & Crafts masters. Ask them were they got something? They made it.

Mary plays Magic The Gathering: Abraham plays Dungeons and Dragons.

Ursaal looks at them and is reminded of herself and Onaan. More so 'What Could Have Been' for them in their father cared/loved them.

What kind of powers do you think Immortal and DupliKate’s children have?

I'm going to bounce off the walls bcuz I love these kids.

When we see Abraham and Mary in costume for the first time; both of their costumes bare clear resemblance to Immortal's, just different colors (Abraham's being orange and Mary's being purple. Both with white and yellow.)

Later on, in a wide shot panel (which I can't find), we briefly see them aiding in the battle against Robot, in which they both appear to be able to fly/float.

From those two small canon facts; we can concur that they both possess Immortal's powers, to some degree.

However! Here are some of my specific hcs about these little dorks.

They both have Immortal's powers, but nether of them are immortal. I think they'd have a lifespan of an average Viltrumite.

Mary is faster and slightly stronger than her brother. She's on par with an average Viltrumite soldier, and could probably take on one or two of them and walk away with all her limbs in tact. Also, her healing factor goes crazy. Broken spine? Give her a 30 minute tap-out and she's ready to go for round two.

Abraham, on the other hand, somehow got hit with the curse in his mother's bloodline. The ability to multiply himself didn't develop until he was about 16, and he can only make about 4 copies of himself before his original body starts taking damage (nose bleed, major headache, etc.). I'd say by ages 20-22 he can make about 15 copies before his original body starts taking damage (and possibly lose consciousness.)

Plus, I love the idea (and angst) of Abraham looking like a carbon copy of MultiPaul and hiding his secondary powers. And then Kate later finding out that her son can multiply himself and know he's been having to experience the horrible fates that she and her copies did. I think she'd have a mamabear mental breakdown over it.
