Little snippets for a fic that I'm considering fleshing out. It's a Toby-centric au of 3Below, where instead of being aliens, Aja and Krel are Fae. If 3Below is your darling, it probably won't be for you, I'm definitely leaning more eldritch than relatable for the Akiridions and canon is pretty much nowhere to be seen. But it should be a spooky romp!

Hopefully no one asked this yet. What's your favorite part of writing your stories ? In general and about "a brief relieving of trollish lore" ?

Hi, thank you for the question! It's a good one, I had to think on it a bit :)

As far as the writing process goes, my favorite parts are tied, haha. I really enjoy world building, and that "connecting the dots" stage where all my little ideas conglomerate into a theme or plot point that makes the story feel more meaningful (at least to me). My other favorite part though, is rereading what I've written 😂 I'm a reader at heart, and because I write with myself as the audience, I tend to enjoy it - plus, it sort of ties back into the "connecting the dots" stage! I get reminded of loose threads or small ideas and then I can call back to them or expand on them to tie into my plot points. Sometimes, they actually take me a complete new direction!

My favorite part of writing a Brief Reliving of Troll Lore is the dialogue, it's so fun to get to play such interesting characters off of each other. I like playing with limited perspective as well, since it allows me to step into each character's shoes and really see the world the way they see it.

(Also for ABRTL - I love reading and responding to comments and questions! It's so fun to get to engage with fellow fans of toa and it's wild to me that people like my fic enough *to* engage. Because I write it for myself, sometimes I forget that sharing means it gets to mean something to someone else too - and how cool is that??)

Thanks so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I am still writing it, but I only started back recently. The ol' writing gears are rusty and it will probably be a while before I'm ready to post again, but I'm so glad there's still people out there who want to read it! I certainly haven't forgotten about it, just needed some space from TOA for a while because of life stress.

I refresh my ao3 bookmarks for updates pretty much every day, and I always look for ABRoTL! It’s definitely the most in depth and immersive Trollhunters fic I’ve ever read and every now and then I find myself theorizing about it! Honestly the dreamworks and Netflix team should’ve gone to the future to take some notes!

But yeah, you don’t owe anyone fanfic or internet presence. You’re giving us awesome and extremely interesting writing for free on your free time. Take care of all the life things, and don’t feel pressured about something that’s supposed to give you joy and peace before anyone else!!!

And lol, you flatter me. I do have the benefit of lots of time to mull things over and as many words as I would like, unlike the writers of Wizards, but it is fun to think about what it would be like to be in a writer's room for toa!

I appreciate that! I hope I didn't come across too stern in a previous answer to an ask with another asker, I honestly love sharing my writing and I'm so glad to hear from people who enjoy it. There's just certain phrases that are hard to hear repeatedly, and I know both for myself and other writers it's good to let people know that. But you're right, it is for free and fun, and I'm having such a blast getting back to it! And I'm very excited to start posting again, when I have enough of a buffer :)
