days like this were just... magical.
Camp had stayed the night and they had shared the bed. no big deal, who even cares. hell, the bed's twice the size it needs to be anyways. but watching him lay there in such a strange position.. it made Madrigal smile. He lay with his head towards the foot of the bed, his back end propped up on the head and his legs simply following gravity towards his head again. for someone who claimed he couldn't bend for his life, Camp was flexible in his sleep. and though he might look like a girl dealing with cramps in such a position, his face was peaceful, and a warm smile was spread across his face, nuzzling into his own arm.
Madrigal, on the other hand, was simply lying on his left side. he had been like that all night, as he always was. As he looked over his oddly placed friend, he began to think of all the times they'd shared, which grew in him an excitement for whatever was to come. He never quite understood why people disliked the boy. with his messy hair and happy attitude, the cute way he laughed that made every bit of him jiggle, how he was always the first to try an odd dish and immediately tell everyone it was great even if it was horrible. Camp was perfect. He was perfect and Mad loved him.
It wasn't long before the more fit of the two was tired of lying down and got up. he went about his usual routine- shower, brush, comb, dress,- all the while waiting for camp to wake up. when time didn't wake him up, the smell of poptarts for breakfast sure did. It was always fun to watch him spring awake and try to figure out how to sit up straight. they talked for awhile about really nothing. dreams, how they slept, what they did yesturday... simple things.
it wasn't until the afternoon that they finally left the room. despite his best efforts and his mothers suggestions, Mad couldn't get Camp in the pool for the life of him. so, while his mother thought they were swimming, they went out of the house, out of the high class level, out to the woods in the park. it was here that they could practice their magic without any worry. practice their techniques, their teamwork, their limits. It often gave Camp a headache, but he was happy. they both were.
It was during a break, lying together in a lovely pile brush, listening to the sounds of the woods, that they were happiest. It wasn't long at all before they started sharing kisses. just quick, chaste little pecks. and they were happy. they were the happiest they'd ever been, the two of them. they simply layed there, thinking up strategies and cracking stupid jokes.
yet, still, camp wanted more.
he sat up, looking at his friend in the leaves. they were still in uniform, still magical, and boy was he happy about that. Mad's shirt was always so clingy, showing off every little groove in his well built body. he had taken off his magic shades, revealing just how well the red hair he currently sported complimented his gorgeous grey eyes and oh my god why was he thinking about his best friend like this stop it camp.
but he didn't stop it. he kept looking him over, unaware he was doing so. Mad looked at his half-lidded expression questioningly, though he said nothing. that is, until camp actuall touched him. it wasn't much, just a little feel of his arm.
"what are you doing?"
Camp froze for a moment, realizing his actions. "uh......" he thought for a moment before getting an idea. rolling over, he sat over Madrigal, one knee on either side of him, and began to tickle him.
Madrigal screached, immediately laughing and trying to defend himself. however, everytime he made one spot hard to get at, he left another wide open. flailing and laughing and making the other grin, he continued to take the tickles before finally trying to return them. Camp squeaked, not expecting to be tickled back, and soon is was a war of who could get who to stop.
however, madrigal had one advantage over camp; breathing control. panting and gasping through his forced laughter, camp finally gave up, grabbing mad's wrists and pinning them above his head. madrigal could have easilly gotten out of his grip, but seeing the state his friend was in, he layed there, waiting for him to catch his breath.
oh, he was cute when he slept, but it was nothing compared to his. with his face all red and his eyes squeezed shut, his chest heaving with the difficulty of breath, the shaky grip he had on mad's wrists.. and then now, when he was finally getting his breath, looking down at him like that and giggling like the cutie he was.
it did odd things to the other. nervous of these odd feelings, he sat up, gently pushing camp off of him. sighing, they plopped down into the leaves once more, enjoying the scenery and the sounds aroung them. maybe one day he could act on those odd feelings, but for now, he just wanted to enjoy the company that was Campelle Merciche.
days like this were truely magical.
