ABSOLUT Mode Collaboration

Last night I visited the fab South Studios in Dublin 8 for the ABSOLUT mode edition exhibition featuring the fresh new meat of Irish Talent all curated by stylist Aisling Farinella. White walls and electric blue lighting with fresh raspberry mojitos set the mood and a dj flanked by silhouettes of the iconic bottle pumped the tunes. 

Fashion was placed as art for the evening with amazing designs to feast eyes upon. Simone Rocha designed a trapped lace dress teamed with a silk crepe de chine skirt and a plastic trapped lace collar. Helen Steele designed a fighting eagle printed satin down cape with a black leatherette dress and stretch printed leggings. (How I want to snuggle up in that dress on these dreary, dark wet nights.) Eilis Boyle designed a flowing liquid silk organza white dress dyed and stained with a grey hue. Natalie B Coleman designed a beautiful lambskin leather dress teamed with a carrickmacross lace collar. Sorcha O'Raghallagh designed a gold chainmail dress detailed with crystal jump rings and chain. 

There were also pieces from the ABSOLUT fashion vault worn and designed by fashion royalty. It is brilliant to see such a huge international brand supporting the youth of Irish fashion, especially in the present economic climate. It is always important to support the local community but even more when it is supporting the arts. I was so enthused by the level of talent before my eyes and honoured to be invited to the launch. And the outfits worn by those attending you ask?As they say...... AB fab!!!!

ABSOLUT mode is all about collaboration with fashion and celebrating the long legacy that ABSOLUT has with new talent. Now they are entering the arena of fashion film with this piece.
