Platonic Relationships - Simon Lewis + Alec Lightwood
In which Alec actively tries to understand the human (vampire?) disaster that is Simon Lewis, because every one else around him seems to semi enjoy his company (even Max, like wtf? When did that happen, like?). He learns that Simon is 100% that nerdy, but is also really sarcastic and doesn’t take people’s shit, including Alec’s, which he can appreciate. Also he finally has someone who will play chess with him and not magic the pieces in different places when he’s not looking (Magnus: I enjoy you’re confused expressions, they’re adorable. Alec: Lies, you just want to win. Magnus: Well, that too.) He brings him cool and interesting books (Ari and Dante was one of his favorites) and he’s not too bad. Really, he enjoys having someone other than Magnus and his siblings overly care about his well being and indulge him in his ever growing addiction to lattes at Starbucks. Not that he’ll ever admit it, definitely not, nope, stop smiling Lewis.
