Yet another win for self-awareness! This series grinds to a halt without deus ex Magnus
This exchange between Simon and Jace lowkey being the one of the most romantic things Cassandra has written rlly gets me every time
Mortal Instruments moments that have lived rent free in my head since middle school
in another universe jonathan and clary would have been spoiled, rich old money shadowhunter kids who lived next door to stephen and celine herondale as they raised an equally spoiled and sassy jace. they would’ve been with the lightwoods too. they all would attend idris academy and had the best times messing around with each other. oh what could’ve been
City of Heavenly Fire in a nutshell.
clace and sizzy having a double wedding, stastically speaking, would be a hilarious nightmare. clary being both simon's suggene and the bride. izzy and clary can't have each other as the maid of honor cause they're too busy running with their own bride duties. jace and izzy fighting over who get alec as their suggene (big chance izzy's asking maryse), alec still have to officiate both weddings cause he's the consul. the only winner is magnus cause he get an excuse for his 7 alec fantasy come true
cassandra clare’s favourite characters to put in situations are magnus bane and simon lewis but the difference is magnus’ situations are fun, wacky and weird while simon’s all involve multiple near death experiences
