i think van looks more conventionally attractive in pictures, he is attractive in real life too but when i met him i was shocked to see how different he looked, his face looks longer, his head looks a bigger, his mouth is larger, his teeth the same (some thought he got them done bc it’s not visible in pics anymore), his nose looks longer etc., in no way implying he’s not good looking bc he is so good looking, just that in real life he has an unconventional beauty and in pics he looks perfect
