The Sea of Corruption
This one turned out so cool! It was also the first one I finished because it looked the prettiest after the ink had dried. It was created on Hahnemühle paper that absorbed the water better and the beautiful texture of the paper interacted really nicely with the neocolor crayons, resulting in a nice grain. It‘s also crazy to see how well my tape sticks to better quality paper.. The picture ended up reminding me lots of the Sea of Corruption, the forests of giant mushrooms that cover the world in the Studio Ghibli film „Nausicaä“.
I almost wanted to leave it be and enjoy the dried result of the wet on wet mingle of pigments that you see in the picture below:
