i don't think i do that but if i'm thinking really hard i tend to roll my eyes back and it always freaked my flute teacher out when i did scales because my eyes would roll back into my head. that said you can't stick your tongue out and play flute...

troy is terrible my Classics class used to watch it and mock it and our teacher would mark us on how many inaccuracies we picked up. so idk it can be fun.

i talk to myself a lot, because it helps me stay focused on what i'm thinking. if i repeat instructions to myself it's easier to follow them. and my mum has a full on monologue going at all times.

yeah!! see this is sort of what I mean is that like...it is common enough that people shouldn’t be so weird about it when they witness it?? Especially the instructions thing -- I should go poking around in some soc databases and confirm but I’m pretty sure I’ve read studies where they found that talking through instructions (or any sort of list) helps for most people.

I’m not sure I know them? But I’m terrible with names so... Yeah, it’s a weird one! There’s no real connection between Mitzi and Charlotte though. I can’t remember the details but my aunt was the first to call her Mitzi around the time she was born (I think because she looked like a monkey as she had a lot of hair at birth? But that doesn’t make sense either). But by the time it stuck, she already had Charlotte on the birth certificate. She wants to change it but keeps forgetting.

oh did the baby happen, i’d forgotten all about it until it was mentioned on ‘have i got news for you’ yesterday

it did. i distractedly turned on the telly at noon and it was all BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY BABY. the news coverage of the whole thing is truly bizarre. with pageantry and psychologizing and loyal subjects close to rapture. odd.
