Ahhhhhh :)))

So I went on an outing with my school's Association of Black Social Workers to see 12 Years A Slave tonight and we did dinner and a discussion about the film afterwards. It was awesome. It was so refreshing to be surrounded by a group of educated black women who had such interesting and different perspectives on social issues. Simply being around people who care about what I care about and who challenge my thought process was cool because that doesn't happen often. The entire night kind of confirmed that I'm in the field that I'm supposed to be in which was something that I needed because lately I had been questioning it all. Its all good for now though....23 weeks left until graduation!
