The advocates are not getting that warm, fuzzy feeling that the advisory board to DEEOIC will have the funding they need to review DEEOIC's implementation of the compensation program. Unlike the NIOSH board, the DOL board needs appropriations every year.
Will you help? Please send an email to DOL Secretary Thomas E. Perez and ask him to ensure that the DEEOIC board is fully funded. Send the email to:

Dear Secretary Perez:
It is vital for the newly legislated Advisory Board on Toxic Substances and Worker Health (ABTSWH) receive appropriations covering the necessary funds in order to fulfill its legislated responsibilities.
I respectfully request that the Department of Labor's Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation's budget request for FY 2016 includes sufficient funds for ABTSWH’s mission. I also ask that every possibility be considered to provide the board with the funding it will need for the last six months of FY 2015.
The claimants have waited too long for the assurance that the program complies with Congressional intent.
Sincerely,
