Exactly two days after meeting Clara, Elijah woke in the bed she'd lent him with a gasping breath. He was back in his adult form and more than a little confused. The memories slowly flooded back to him, fuzzy with time but definitely new -- they hadn't been there before he went to sleep.. He stood from the bed, looking around the room for a moment before moving to find Clara.
Clara had been in the kitchen for 3 hours now, trying to make a soufflé. And when it hadn’t seemed to work, she just decided to make some breakfast for when Elijah woke up. She had let him sleep in because the child probably needed a lot of it in the condition he was in. She had made eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, some orange juice, some tea, some sausage, and many other things. She didn’t know what he would like, so it was better to just make everything up. As she continued to finish up her cooking, she heard footsteps from the back from Elijah’s room. She raised a brow. “Hello?” she called out.
